Head of Plant Supply Chain

We are looking for talents to work with our dynamic and innovative Plant Supply Chain Team.

Job Purpose:

  • Ensure deliveries of products and services at a country level and outside (when export activities) to support the Business performance and achieve objectives, ensuring an adequate stock management, Master production Schedule achievement and optimizing inventory holding costs with a full oversight of supply chain team.
  • Connect the different key stakeholders in the organization and help to achieve productivity, boost activates, and maximize Gross margin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Supply Chain processes: planning, supply, production, transportation, warehouse & Export, customer service, quality and other to support the Sanofi´s business
  • Work with the team to achieve tangible results, develop processes to improve performance, or apply technology to analyze data and facilitate decision making
  • Help the team to execute the strategies of each BU and support the net sales growth
  • Be a key business partner in any crisis situation (as supply shortage) by alerting, arbitrating and ensuring best demand vs supply balance in agreement with key stakeholders (medical, regulatory, finance, commercial, Country Chair, Site Head and Country Chair)
  • Be ready for the unexpected, and rather be proactive than reactive (usually it’s the difference between success and failure)
  • Develop customer centricity and services to generate satisfaction, loyalty, minimum levels of complaints and provide support to Operation
  • Deploy Joint Business Plan and other collaborative models with Customers to strengthen customer satisfaction (reduction in lead-time, delays, complaints, order to serve, IS Interface plan…)
  • Ensure good order management process leading to availability of materials in full, on time, accurately.
  • Review monthly sales/rolling forecasts in collaboration with Commercial operation teams through a monthly S&OP process (incl. Launch/Portfolio Mgt)
  • Coordination with Sanofi commercial teams, Central Distribution, market Supply chain organizations for net demand planning and product delivery follow-up
  • Monitor & follow-up on logistics consequences of regulatory activities relating to local health ministry expiries/renewals, new product launches, site transfers or variations with various stakeholders (plants, regulatory affairs, quality)
  • Identify priorities and anticipate potential ruptures, overstocks, obsolescence, specially for life saving drugs, psychotropic, cytostatic and high value products
  • Anticipate and ensure visibility along exceptional demand and supply (supply interruptions, over/under selling, obsolescence, projects, Risks and Opportunities) linked to its potential consequences on markets and all Exports markets sales results
  • Ensure the implementation of stock policy according with the Sanofi’s guidelines
  • Ensure accurate inventory management aiming to reduce slow moving and inventories at risk.
  • Provide leadership and ensure that all staff are qualified and competent, properly coached and given the opportunity to develop in the company and to achieve their objectives.
  • Provide leadership and develop supply chain skills/performance in the team.
  • Coordinate and support internal control definitions and rules in the daily business, in order to be compliant with global procedures Active participate in local, regional and global optimization projects in order to reduce inventories, destructions, information flows and controls without endangering supply of products
  • Be the Sanofi local focal point for all Supply Chain tools/systems and ensure their proper implementation and management.
  • Lead Supply Chain related projects.

Education: Post-graduation in Finance/Pharmacy/ Engineering background

Experience & knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain and Project Management
  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes (demand management, forecasting, planning)
  • Detailed understanding of planning, forecasting, demand management – S&OP process

Skills:

  • Good in analysis, planning and business solutions
  • Outstanding team builder, motivation and conflict management
  • Understanding and experience working in a Matrix environment
  • Excellent in communication and relationship building
  • Stress management and change management
    Up to date technical acumen – MS Office, SAP, ERP etc.
