Rupantar, a development organization has been working in Democracy & Political empowerment, Disaster Management & Climate Change adaptation, Popular Media & Folk Theatre, Children & Youth rights and Peace & Tolerance.  Rupantar is now inviting applications from suitable experienced and interested candidate to work Khulna- Barisal and Sylhet Division for filling up the following job vacancies to work in a Democratic Governance focused ASTHA project supported by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh.

Position: Monitoring and Reporting Officer (Only Female)
Number of Position: 02
Among the 02 positions 1 position is for Khulna- Barisal Division (Satkhira, Patuakhali and Barguna District)
And 01 position is for Sylhet Division (Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj District)

Salary: An amount of 60,000/- per month. (Increment and Festival Bonus as per approved project budget and Rupantar Policy)
Project Duration:  1st July, 2023 to 31st March, 2026
Employment Duration: 1st October, 2023 to 31st March, 2026

   Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in any discipline; this may be relaxed for the highly experienced person
  • At least 02 years’ relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
  • Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in Good Governance and Democratic project,
  • Good Communication, presentation and session facilitation skills
  • Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, youth group, civil society groups and local stakeholders including Government
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/management.

Required Core Competences:

  • Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate should have learning attitude, well behavior and proactive attitude
  • Ability to prioritize activities to act and decide promptly.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali;
  • Pro-active and participatory decision-making and problem-solving;
  • Ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds;
  • Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection

Job Overview in this position:

The Monitoring and Reporting Officer is responsible for monitoring the implementation of projects or programs, analyzing data, preparing reports, and contributing to evaluation and learning processes. She will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects operations in the cluster are on track, outcomes to be achieved and stakeholders are informed about progress. The specific responsibilities and tasks are summarized below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring: Review monitoring frameworks, systems, and tools to track and assess the progress of projects. Monitor the implementation of various initiatives, ensuring compliance with established standards, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Field Visit: Conduct regular field visits to support the project team in project operations and gather relevant information for monitoring purposes.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:  Collect and compile data from various sources and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Analyze data and trends to identify areas of improvement, potential risks, and opportunities for intervention.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on the status, performance, and impact of projects. Interpret data to generate meaningful insights and recommendations. Maintain reporting templates, guidelines, and documentation procedures. Present findings and reports to management, donors, or other relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Data Management: Establish and maintain databases or information systems to store and manage beneficiaries’ details and other monitoring data. Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular data verification and validation. Develop data visualization tools, charts, and graphs to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Identify and document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories. Contribute to knowledge management and organizational learning by sharing the findings and recommendations.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and information sharing. Participate in meetings, workshops, and other relevant forums to contribute to program planning and decision-making processes.
  • Communication and correspondence: Assist the cluster coordinator in maintaining communication with various types of stakeholders
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, including operational, logistical, and resource-related risks, review the risk matrix and take necessary mitigation plan.

Nota Benne :

  • The Candidate must mention the preferred working area (Khulna-Barisal Division or Sylhet Division) in the forwarding letter.
  • The candidates should have the age limit of 25 to 40 years and have the ability to work in adverse situations
  • Residents of the respective working area will be given high priority
  • Ability to stay at project area
  • Strong team player with well-developed network.

  • Salary and benefits will depend on clearance of Bangladesh Govt. and Donor,
