YOUR DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS POSITION WILL BE:
- Lead timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
- Ensure preparation of high-quality financial statements and reports for local management and group consolidation.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare regular financial and operational performance reports for local and group-level stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities and propose corrective actions where necessary.
- Supervise maintenance of the general ledger and all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across records.
- Align financial practices with group policies and ensure accurate and timely reporting for consolidation.
- Update and validate data in group consolidation software,
- Lead, coach, and mentor the terminal finance team to drive performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Act as a key business partner to operational and commercial functions, providing financial insights to support decision-making and cost control.
- Drive a performance culture and instill a focus on financial discipline and business integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements in Bangladesh, including NBR and customs regulations.
- Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment in line with RSGT group policies and risk frameworks.
- Execute key financial and operational controls at the prescribed frequency and ensure timely and accurate filing of control evidence.
- Conduct periodic self-assessments on the effectiveness of internal controls and remediate any identified weaknesses.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring timely closure of audit points.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews, ensuring full cooperation with auditors and effective follow-up on recommendations.
- Continuously monitor evolving regulatory requirements and internal policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Serve as a finance lead to the effective use of the ERP system (Oracle EBS). Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure the finance modules are properly configured and integrated with operational data.
- Ensure that Oracle EBS functionality is fully used and no process takes place manually outside of Oracle. Interface and automate payments process from Oracle to the bank eliminating any manual intervention.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:
Education:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance roles, including 3+ years in a similar leadership capacity, ideally in logistics, maritime, shipping, or infrastructure.
- Prior experience with group consolidation and reporting software is an advantage.
Core & Technical Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred), with proven success in implementation or upgrades.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, local tax regulations, Bangladeshi financial regulations, customs processes, and corporate governance practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering abilities.
