To achieve this goal, we focus on two areas where we believe we can have  the greatest impact: literacy and gender equality in education. We work in  collaboration with communities and local governments and partner organizations  across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among  primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with  the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.  Project Manager- Custom Project(Based in Dhaka Country Office and Reports to the Country Director)
 Position  Overview: The Project  Manager-Custom Project will support in the coordination of donor supported  projects of Room to Read Bangladesh. He/she will support in the monitoring of  project planning, project schedule, coordination, budget and expenditure,  reporting etc. The Project Manager will report directly to the Country Director. Duties and Responsibilities:  Program/Project Management 
          Have ready information at  all time on the status of project activities and the relevant information  on development and execution of project deliverables,  project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processesProvide data, information,  report on project activities as and when requested by CMTFollow-up with project  implementation calendar to track each goal and objective of projectPreparing necessary  presentation materials for meetings based on project requirementsAssess project risks and  issues and provide solutions where applicableEnsuring projects adhere  to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each  project Financial  
          Implement a Financial  Pipeline Tracking System for effective budget monitoring based on sound  financial and budgeting principlesClosely work with relevant  staff for all project’s financial report, budget variances and expenditureAssist in providing  information for revenue tracker Monitoring and Evaluation 
          Work in close  co-ordination with Project team and Country Office RM&E team to ensure the  collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for effective monitoring,  evaluation and reporting Ensure all Custom Projects  have updated work-plan and performance management plan in tandem with all  approved proposals, regularly reviewing and updating as neededProvide alert to the  respective project managers and Country Management team on corrective actions  required to avoid delays in implementation, including flagging operational  issues and risks requiring timely actions Reporting 
          Documenting and following  up on important actions and decisions from all project meetingsReview monthly, quarterly,  and annual reports from project teams and provide feedback to the respective  staff as appropriateSupport in the submission  of the report to the donors and global officeDocument lessons learned  and best practices  Co-ordination 
          Closely work with Country  Management team to ensure implementation of project activities and reporting  along with financial report, budget variances and expenditureBuild and maintain strong  working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, government,  and donorsOrganizing, attending, and  participating in stakeholder meetingsSupport in ensuring timely  submission of project documentation to donor, Room to Read Global Office,  relevant CMT members and other stakeholders as required Participate and facilitate  meetings where appropriate  Others 
          Compile and maintain a database  of international and local donor organizations (international  foundations, bilateral> and  multilateral agencies and private corporations)Assist in writing concept  notes, project ideas and project proposals and ensure their timely submission Take on any additional responsibility as and  when requested by Country Director or any Country Management team  PS:  Please note that this is a new position and might change as we learn more from  our experience Required  Qualifications: 
          Master’s Degree in  Education, Administration, Social Science, Project Management, or related  fieldsGood knowledge and  understanding of education issues, including teaching methodologies and  community involvement in schoolsThorough understanding of  Government of Bangladesh’s Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education systemExperience of project  management and reporting  Minimum of 10 years  related work experience with at least 3 years in similar positionStrong planning,  budgeting/financial management, administrative, supervisory, coaching and  program development skills Skills & Competencies  Required
