POSITION SUMMARY:
| The Analyst Application System and Programming Associate/ IT department will under direct supervision, assist in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assist in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, test, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyst:
- Tests assigned computer programs, as well as the programs of peers.
- Conducts testing to ensure that the programs are functional
- Assists support personnel in resolving problems customers have with programs.
Programmer:
- Code, and test a variety of Company’s proprietary business applications.
- Writes routine programs as assigned by a senior analyst or Manager; makes routine modifications to existing programs to improve or repair them.
- Documents programming, both in the program and in written documentation so that a record of the programming is maintained.
- Unit and integration test the finished product, including creation/modification of test scripts and test data, to assure conformance with the application design and other documentation. Verifies the finished application and test results with the specification. Implements changes as completed.
- Fully documents all work and test results so that business logic is clearly understood, meaningful user documentation and training materials can be prepared, test results can be replicated, and impact on follow-on development and maintenance may be clearly understood.
- Follows all change management procedures for all development work completed. This includes product specific and IT related change management procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining source control and proper build configurations for an application that development work is being completed for.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Related field required.
Experience: Mid to senior (2 - 5 years) level experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of the analysis, installation, modification and support of operating systems, databases, and utilities.
- Basic knowledge of X12 and HL7 v2 control structure
- Ability to analyze, program and support messaging engines using HL7 such as Mirth, Cloverleaf etc.
- Clear understanding of the integration techniques required to interface with EHR technologies such as Epic, Meditech, Allscript etc....
- Basic knowledge of procedures, utilities and job control languages.
- Ability to read and develop in C#, and .NET,
- Ability to create SSRS SQL reports
- Ability to read, understand and develop in TSQL and Oracle PL/SQL is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of healthcare billing concepts, experience with imaging and workflow business process automation are preferred.
- HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other critical governmental regulations.
- Perform in a consistently-organized manner with strong attention to detail.
- Perform duties and handle large volumes of work, while working under pressure within tight time constraints, in an environment of changing and competing priorities.
- Ability to perform professional level technical documentation and presentation.
Other Requirements:
- Must poses excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to obtain US visitor's visa and willing to spend couple of months in the USA for training.
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
