JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a Technical Design team across multiple countries/region.
- Responsible and accountable for the development and quality standard of a product across multiple categories.
- Provide technical support and coordination for the product development during all related activities.
- Implement and maintain the PVH Brand fit and quality expectations defined by NYO Tech.
- Ensure correct interpretation of quality and product approval standards is clearly understood and acknowledged by all associated parties.
- Ensure that products are developed consistently to established fit and quality standards, within manufacturer’s capabilities and in the most cost effective manner.
- Ensure all aspects of technical pre-production work specifically to maintain fit integrity of approval samples, conformance to size specification requirements are implemented and monitored effectively within key vendor base.
- Initiate technical development of fit standards and construction methodology to identify and maximize speed to market opportunities.
- Review existing technical design process within key vendors and provide enhanced process and methodology guidelines.
- Articulate strategic vision and balance business with strong operational integrated supply chain experience to deliver best in class performance products in a competitive global marketplace
- Work with QA to ensure all Fit standards are executed in bulk
- Cover all multiple overseas office/regions for all Technical Design functions.
- Identify and provide any necessary staff training, standard operating processes and vendor guidance to maximize the potential of all associated parties of the PVH Supply.
- Work with Head Office counterparts and other Regional Office to ensure effective lines of communication for time line management, sample development, fit approval, garment engineering, technical and vendor development
- Coordinate with Head Office and vendors to understand any quality issues and provide adequate feedback to ensure effective vendor quality improvement program
- Be proficient in cost engineering and drive conversations of cost engineering with NY tech.
- Supervision Oversee the workload and effectiveness of the Fit Tech and provide training and guidance to ensure high levels of technical excellence in multiple countries.
- Appraise and give guidance in fit review meetings and support the Fit Tech team to ensure sample approvals consistently conform to the agreed standards.
REQUIREMENT
- University graduate of high academic standing in any discipline
- Extensive technical design knowledge: construction, costing, patterns, functional trims, garment measuring, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of sourcing and production organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of multi-tiered sourcing strategies
- Raw material construction knowledge
- Experience of fitting garments on body.
- Sound communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Bangla
- 12-15 years industry experience required. With good fitting & pattern knowledge.
- Effective organization and time management skills, with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
