Job Summary

Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is going to implement project in the Host and Rohingya community of Ukhiya with the funding of International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Officer (Technical) for the “Resilience building interventions for the fire affected people” Project.

Reporting

Project Officer (Technical) will report to Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the beneficiaries in Rohingya community on the project specific trades to develop business and flourish their businesses.
• Provide on-farm technical guidance to the Rohingya beneficiaries on developing agriculture-based businesses within camp settings.
• Provide off-farm technical guidance to the Rohingya beneficiaries on developing craft, mini-garments trades-based businesses within camp settings.
•  Identify potential scopes of businesses for the host community beneficiaries through need analysis and market evaluation.
• Engage the host community beneficiaries into their preferred businesses through necessary technical support.
• Keep tracking the production of beneficiaries along with trends of income generation.
• Maintain communication among the beneficiaries and inspire them to give their best effort to produce maximum amount of product.
• Ensure quality of the products to be made by the beneficiaries through regular on-spot visit to the production sites of the enterprises.
• Regularly follow-up the fields of beneficiaries to monitor the progress of the businesses and guide the beneficiaries with necessary consultancy.
• Prepare regular reports on the progress of the enterprises and submit to the line supervisor.

Required Educational Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor of Agriculture from any reputed university.
• University degree on Fashion Design and Technology.
• 3 year of professional experience in relevant job responsibilities.

Technical Skills

• Should have technical skills on aquaculture practices and interventions, technical knowledge on poultry farming and vegetable gardening.
• Skill of photography
• Should have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla
• Proficient with MS office suite
