It is also promoting gender equality through various community engagement programs and working to empowering women and girls by providing them with skills training and economic opportunities to become self-sufficient.

Purpose of the Role
Team Leader- Field Operations
is one of the very exciting roles in Prottyashi’s humanitarian operations in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasanchar. The Team Leader provides a leadership, decision-making and coordinating role on programmatic issues, responsible for the quality and timeliness of the effective implementation of projects in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasanchar.
You will be leading a team of over 500 staff, have the opportunity to lead a total budget in tune of 50-60 crore BDT yearly with further growth. 

Highlights of Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation Support:

  •  Support the PCs/PMs to ensure that program implementation is led through structured work-plans & approved monitoring plans based on project proposals & partnership agreements.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and check the annual/quarterly/monthly planning/progress of field activities; ensure timely flow of information to Project Unit and Sectoral Head/PC/PM as well as to M&E Unit
  • Plan and conduct regular/special meeting with concerned staff and other sectors and maintaining follow-up for the implementation of the planned activities agreed in the meeting
  • Monitor, follow-up and supervise the project activities to keep the activities in right track and ensure quality program implementation
  • Ensure that the implementation team is fully oriented on the project design, DIP, MEAL Plan, LFA, budget and other pertinent details.
  • Coach, train, and mentor staff with the aim of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team, and providing professional development guidance
  • Work closely with the implementation team/PC/PM to produce analytical donor reports, give technical input and necessary feedback on the donor reports.
  • Ensure project budgets are run within budget and closed on time by leading Budget Vs Actual meetings and ensuring that expenditures are monitored monthly; with well-structured corrective action is initiated and tracked where required.
  • Support the MEAL Lead in developing, rolling out and monitoring the use of a program-wide MEAL strategy and tools for the collection and analysis of program information (qualitative and quantitative) to inform all stages of the project cycle to increased shared learning internally and externally.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality reports followed by a report schedule and as per donor guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt contribution of program team to meet all GoB compliances at national and local level such as to FD6 and FD7 processes, local level reporting and coordination etc.
  • Coordinate donor visits, and support field staff in preparing and conducting these visits as necessary.

Planning & Implementation

  • Support the implementation of organizational goals aligned with Five Years Strategy. In coordination with the Core Coordination Team of Prottyashi and other colleagues, support updating Humanitarian Response Program, and other sector strategies while remaining relevant to evolving contexts and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the development of donor and program sector strategies, including the integration of cross-cutting functions of gender, monitoring & evaluation, cash programming, partnership, disaster risk reduction and advocacy.

Program Development

  • Support in designing and implementing fundraising strategies, incorporating donor mapping and communication plans, to ensure Prottyashi visibility and vibrant presence in Cox’s bazar, Bhasanchar and other geographies as per the fiver year strategy
  • Support the Business Development & Partnership unit towards high quality, evidence and needs-based project proposals.

Human Resources and Staff Development

  • Provide supportive guidance and supervision to direct reports. Provide appropriate and timely feedback to staff regarding their performance, including timely implementation of the annual staff performance management system.
  •  Ensure all relevant existing program and technical staff are knowledgeable on associated processes and initiatives including onboarding of new program/technical staff as necessary.
  • Support the identification of staff development opportunities.
  • Assist in developing job descriptions and in the recruitment of project staff. Ensure that regular and quality staff evaluations are conducted for all staff.
  • Demonstrate true collaboration with other functions (Operations, HR, Finance)  to promote cross function coordination and team building
  • Promote an open, diverse and participatory work environment.

Coordination, Representation and Advocacy:

  • Command a sound understanding of our programs. To be able to professionally represent Prottyashi and its interests externally.
  • Assist DIrector-Programs in establishing, developing and sustaining a strong relationship with donors/ government counterparts to ensure sustainable programs in the portfolio sectors.
  • Encourage and support improved program cohesion through coordination initiatives and information sharing with and between all key country program staff.
  • Actively contribute (particularly through providing evidences from program) in various advocacy initiatives and platforms to advocate for protection of rights of beneficiaries and assistance.
  • Promote the Prottyashi Bangladesh vision and mission amongst all staff.
  • Dedicatedly participate in, and contribute to, coordination meetings and working groups, sectors, clusters at regional and national level
  • Dedicatedly build strong working alliances with other international and national actors/organizations
  • Dedicatedly develop and maintain effective working relationships with other key partners, including donors, government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors.
  •  Ensure Prottyashi’s active contribution in all coordination forums at local level (sub districts, districts and at national level)
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the management

Salary & Benefits:

  • Monthly salary: Gross salary approximately 120,000/-BDT but negotiable for more experienced & qualified candidates.
  • CPF, Gratuity, 2 festival bonus, Boishaki bonus, Staff welfare fund, Lunch allowance, Annual increments, Staff house loan, regular traveling & communication bill etc.
