Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Research Fellow. 

Duty station: Dhaka (This position is based on Dhaka)

Job Description / Responsibility:

  1. Assist in proposal development with a detailed research design, study implementation plan, data collection tool, and study methodology.
  2. Conduct a thorough literature search of new and relevant academic articles.
  3. Work jointly with team members to develop manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  4. Assist in generating routine project reports.
  5. Support process documentation of the study.
  6. Prepare documents for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission (e.g., BMRC), respond to queries of reviewers of IRB, and prepare annual reports for them.
  7. Support data analysis.

Educational requirement and relevant experience:

  • MBBS/BDS.  Having MPH will get the preference.
  • At least 1 year experience in public health research.
  • Sound knowledge in Literature search, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Research Methodology, and Statistical analysis.

Additional requirement:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Good networking and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to travel to the field.
  • Fluency in Bangla and English, both written and verbal.

Job Nature: Fixed-term

Salary:

  • An attractive remuneration package will be offered based on competency.

Benefit:

  • 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy.

The appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 1 year but may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
