Position Title: Deputy Director (HR & Admin)

Grade : IX
Location of posting : Dhaka
Contract Type : Regular
Salary : Grand Pay: BDT. 77,550/=, Net Pay: BDT. 70,554/= (During Provision Period). Mobile Allowance BDT.700/=
Probation Period : 06 months
Other Benefits : After Probationary period s/he will be eligible for city allowance, yearly increment, annual festival bonuses, contributory provident fund, Gratuity and other facilities as per Organization’s policy.

Job Summary:

Deputy Director (HR & Admin) is the Head of HR & Administration Department. S/he will provide all support to make sure smooth running of POPI’s Administrative and HR management activities. This position is responsible for the general administration, logistics, procurement and other required services to maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with POPI and Donor requirements. S/he will also maintain close collaboration with all other staff to ensure optimum utilization of available resources for achieving POPI’s goal & objectives. The position is reportable to the Executive Director.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent is responsible to frame/design policies and strategies, rules and procedures, assist in overall HR operations in the organization’s HR & compliance System and Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Searching resourceful employee, workforce planning, managing and improving the recruitment and selection process at all levels, developing creative and innovative methods of increasing profile of all employees.
  • Ensuring a timely and relevant induction, job skills development design and delivering of training events. Assisting of the design and delivering of the annual training events, identifying potentiality to promote a culture of internal development.
  • Ensuring legal compliance of all matters in particularly the management of disciplinary and grievance procedures and dismissals.
  • Planning, designing, coordinating and executing the whole recruitment process, organizing and facilitating training, workshop, orientation, managing of compensation and benefit, promotion, employee motivation, leadership, monitor and implementing policies of the central HR.
  • Executing and performing all sorts of responsibilities of the administration and human recourse (HR) department and its associate projects according to the policies and guidelines of the central management by monitoring and supervising all sorts of administrative and human recourses related activities in the most efficient, disciplined and productive ways.
  • This service shall also be focused to make all out efforts for maximizing the efficiency, performance and productivity of the executive personnel working in different departments, units and projects of the organization and also to guide and facilitate them for delivering the highest level of outcome for the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Have leadership quality to lead HR & Admin department and ensure friendly working atmosphere.
  • MBA (HRM)/Master in relevant area from any reputed university/institution.
  • PGDHRM will get preference
  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing HR & Administration independently &  
  • Good Command in both Bengali and English.
  • Dynamic, motivate, energetic and  pro-active
  • Problem solving & analytical skills.
  • ICT Savvy.
  • Proven skills in organization and Management.
  • Willingness to travel in the program area outside of Dhaka.
