Plan International Bangladesh has been implementing one-year grant project, funded by GAC, aiming to improve maternal and child health in Bangladesh in Nilphamari district aligning with the COVID 19 situation.

The role and Scope:

The Project Manager is responsible to implement the project aligning with the COVID-19 scenario in the field and provide managerial support to implementing partner in the field. This position has to effectively manage this project in collaboration with implementing NGO partner and other stakeholders at local level and to some extend at national level. S/he is responsible for overall quality implementation of this project in the field. The other significant responsibility of the position holder is to communicate and coordinate with donor through updates and reporting. The project manager is also responsible for ensuring the evidences produced in the field and overseeing production of replicable model as per results & work plans, and monitoring programme implementation. S/he actively participates in    networks/workshops/seminars/coordination meetings as well as maintains liaison and advocacy with national, divisional and district level GO-NGO counterparts as a representative of Health Programme in Plan International Bangladesh.

S/he creates evidences with proper documentation by closely working with Communication Department. S/he designs and implements capacity development of Plan and partner staffs on MNCH. S/he will oversee overall sustainability of project implementation developed by different partners during this project period and beyond. His/her behaviors and practices reflect Plan International’s child protection and gender policy in compliance. Also s/he is accountable for ensuring appropriate work environment for the team and maintain good teamwork within project and in programme while leading the close-out processes of the project.

What we’re looking for

We are looking dynamic team members with Master’s in Public Health or any social sciences. MBBS will add value. At least 3-4 years of managerial experience with 5 years working experiences in MNCH and emergency response projects in any reputed development organization with proven technical expertise in maternal & child health in different settings including emergency/COVID situations. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement program strategy and manage projects and teams. Understanding of the socio/political economic and cultural issues of Bangladesh and districts that affects the women specially the young women especially in Divisions where the projects are implementing. Ability to develop effective working relationships across a network.

Salary Package: BDT.  169,760.00 (monthly) along with other benefits i.e., Life insurance and hospitalization benefit (self only) and leave.
