 All over the world girls are at risk because of their young age and  their gender. They are at risk of being denied the opportunity to access a  secondary education, to gain the skills and training they need to work and to  exercise control over their sexual and reproductive health. They are at risk of  being married before the age of 18. They are at risk of violence and harassment  from men and boys in every space they occupy, including their home, their  school, their refugee camp and their city. Plan International Bangladesh is  looking for a Project Manager for Combating Child Marriage in Bangladesh (CEMB)  project. This project aims to demonstrate a District based model as evidence  and experience to show the District level interventions provide the optimal  administrative coverage, sectoral integration and accountability for child  marriage prevention.  The role The incumbent has to effectively manage and monitor  the project inplementation in collaboration with Divisional office,  implementing partner NGOs and other stakeholders at district and divisional  levels. S/he will be responsible for demonstrating a District Model with  evidence based results in three components: 1) Increased agency of adolescent  girls and boys to protect themselves from harmful gender norms and practices,  including CEFM, and exercise choice in economic opportunities and decisions in  their futures through promoting their economic empowerment, and building their  knowledge and capacity; 2) Improved community acceptance of norms that value  the girl child and actions that support girls and boys to delay marriage by  building the ability and capacity of champion fathers and mothers, and  community gatekeepers, and; 3) Increased responsiveness of duty bearers at  national, district and sub- district (Upazila) levels to prevent and respond to  child rights violations. All three intervention components will be implemented  in three Upazilas of Bhola (Daulatkhan, Borhanuddin and Tazumuddin) and all i  Upazilas of Jhalokat (Nalchiti, Rajapur, Kathalia and Jhalakathi Sadar). What we’re looking for A dynamic and competent  professional holding a Master’s degree in any discipline of Social Science/  Development Studies with having at least 7-10 years’ experience in the field of  child protection which includes 5 years’ experience in Project Management  preferably in an International Development Organization.
