All over the world girls are at risk because of their young age and their gender. They are at risk of being married before the age of 18. They are at risk of violence and harassment from men and boys in every space they occupy, including their home, their school, their refugee camp and their city. They are at risk of being denied the opportunity to access a secondary education, to gain the skills and training they need to work and to exercise control over their sexual and reproductive health.

The role

As a Head of Child Rights & Youth Governance, you will be responsible for the design and quality implementation of Plan International Bangladesh’s child rights & youth governance strategy and portfolio. You will provide technical support (strategic & operational) in the development of the CR & YG Strategy, and the design, implementation, monitor and evaluation of Plan International Bangladesh’s CR &YG programmes and projects, and contribute to positioning Plan International Bangladesh as a leading organization for girls’ rights. The position holder will be required to represent the organization in inter-agency girl’s rights and youth networks, and serve as an expert on national, regional, and international children rights policies including all related guidelines which serve as framework that guides work done for children.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a dynamic team leader with proficiency in rights based programme development and management on women’s and girl’s empowerment. A Postgraduate degree holder having around 8-10 years of experience in senior management position especially in the field of child rights in any development organization
