The reaming next six years of strategy period the role of girls and youth from all identities in a greater social movement will be extended, supported and acclaimed, enabling them to step out of prescribed gender roles, break the poverty chain, and manage acute shocks and stressors, including those created by climate change.

The Role

The Analyst - Policy, Influencing, and Networking will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing Plan International Bangladesh’s policy and advocacy agenda. This position will support the organization in analysing national and international policy trends, engaging with stakeholders, and building strategic networks to influence decision-makers in areas related to children's rights, gender equality, and sustainable development.

The position holder will primarily focus on policy analysis (both local & national), policy development, change and amendment, support, as well as strong networking with national, regional and global platforms/allies for promoting organisation's influencing priorities. Analyst- Policy Influencing & Networking will play a key role in identifying policy issues, collect and analyse evidences, analyse policy gaps in line with organizations goals and objectives for the strategic positioning of the organization. This position will leverage data-driven insights and robust policy analysis to drive impactful change through strategic advocacy.

The position-holder’s expertise will be instrumental in achieving PLAN International Bangladesh 's influencing priorities, shaping the organization’s stance on policy matters, and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

This position will lead in a number of alliance/networks/ platforms like the Joining Force Bangladesh, Child Rights Advocacy Coalition, Bangladesh (CRAC,B), Girls Not Brides Network (GNB), No Child Left Behind-LNOB Platforms. In addition to representing the organization in these platforms, this position will coordinate and ensure PIB’s representation in all other affiliated networks and platforms including humanitarian allies from local to global.

The role will also focus on building strong partnerships with government bodies, civil society, and international agencies, working closely with these entities to advocate for policy reforms that promote equitable access to education, protection, and opportunities for marginalized children. Additionally, the Analyst will facilitate the development of coherent, evidence-based advocacy strategies, ensuring Plan International’s initiatives are aligned with both national priorities and international commitments like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the supervision of Director- Influencing, Campaign and Communications the position holder will be responsible to contribute in producing strategic documents, analytical reports, research papers, policy briefs in line with global & national strategy, Powering the Movement, supporting the design and implementation of new models for influencing and movement building. The position holder will work closely with thematic Advisors and Managers, Campaign Manager, Communication Manager, Sponsorship Manager, Monitoring Research & Evaluation team, Business Development and Resource Team and Country Management Team.

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced Value based Leader: At least 5 years’ experience in similar job in development and Humanitarian organization with 3 years’ experience in the area of advocacy, policy analysis & strategic communication.
  • Technical expertise: Strong research, communication, strategic thinking, public relations and advisory skills, including written and presentations is required. Experience in engaging the non-formal actors of policymaking process: citizens, interest groups, social movements and mobilization, political parties, think tanks and research organization and media.
  • Inclusivity Champion: Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and practicing feminist principles in leadership.
  • Collaborative Partner: Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, Legislature/Parliament (Parliament members, committee, staff of the parliament secretariat), Executives (Prime Minister, Principal secretary, Minsters, Cabinet Secretary, staffs of the cabinet secretariat, administrative agencies, bureaus, departments) and the Judiciary (Justice, Judges, Staffs of the Judiciary), building strong networks for PIB’s success.

Monthly consolidated salary range for this role is 203,712 BDT – 254,640 BDT (may vary based on experience) along with other benefits i.e. Life Insurance, Hospitalization Insurance coverage along with Out Patient Treatment Benefit.
