With an in-country staff capacity of 250+ (100% Bangladeshi nationals), Plan implements a portfolio of 30+ USG and non-USG projects to advance youth participation and gender equity. Plan reaches over one million youth through current projects and embedded internal youth governance structures, including a 21-member Youth Advisory Panel and a dedicated youth seat on the Country Management Team. Plan collaborates on programming and advocacy with over 200 youth associations.

Background

Plan International Bangladesh's Skill and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship-SOYEE Programme strives to empower youth, particularly girls, by enhancing employment opportunities and entrepreneurial skills. Aligned with the organization's commitment to creating safe environments for children and young women worldwide, the program addresses societal norms and fosters socio-economic empowerment. The current assignment involves reviewing 13 key program documents to ensure alignment with objectives and strategies. Through meticulous analysis and direct editing, the consultant will provide actionable recommendations to enhance document quality. These insights will not only refine individual documents but also inform strategic decisions, contributing to the overall effectiveness and performance of the SOYEE Programme.

Purpose of the Assignment

The primary objective of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive review of 13 key documents related to the SOYEE Programme. The review process will involve critically analyzing each document to assess its relevance, accuracy, coherence, and alignment with the program's objectives and strategies. The findings from this review will contribute to the overall effectiveness and performance of the SOYEE Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diligently examine each of the 13 designated documents twice (draft and final version) provided by Plan International Bangladesh.
  2. Assess the content of each document for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the SOYEE Program objectives.
  3. Directly edit the documents where possible and provide clear, actionable recommendations for enhancing document quality and effectiveness.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards throughout the review process.

Submission of documents

The technical and financial proposals with CV, 3 relevant work samples, and three references (including one from an INGO)should be submitted electronically to the specified email address:  planbd.consultant.hiring@plan-international.org. with the title “Proposals for hiring a Consultant for document review” as subject line.

Proposal submitted to any other email account or address except this will be treated as disqualified.

Submissions after the deadline of 05 May, 2024 at 4:00 pm will be treated as disqualified.
