Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from fees to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

The role:
- The position holder is responsible for quality ensuring and improvement of the GBV intervention of Plan International and partner organizations (PHD, SKUS, Mukti Cox’s Bazar and HOPE Foundation) as per the signed agreement.
- S/he is responsible for the timely and quality implementation of GBV activities, compliance with donor rules and regulations and effective stakeholder relationship management.
- S/he is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the consortium members, different sectors in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
- Regularly attend GBV sub sector and other related sector meetings at appropriate levels to feed into PIB priorities in the field. S/he will take necessary steps for ensuring the quality of the GBV activity in collaboration with the partner’s implementing team.
- Regularly communicate and attend the meetings at Women Affairs and Youth Development Department of GoB at Cox’s Bazar level.
- S/he will take a proactive stance in identifying and mitigating safeguarding of children and young people and gender transformative related risks, implementation of interventions by Plan International Bangladesh.
- S/he will ensure qualitative and quantitative achievement of key project deliverables over time.
- Provide technical support on design of service and activities of the project and support PIB staff and partner organizations through trainings and monitoring.
- S/he will take a proactive stance in identifying and mitigating safeguarding of children and young people and gender transformative related risks, implementation of interventions by Plan International Bangladesh.
- S/he will report to the Project Manager. Besides, she/he needs to involve with the technical persons of other thematic areas, HR & OD, finance, logistic and admin, IT, partners staff, etc.
What we’re looking for:
Master Degree or equivalent in Women and Gender Studies, Social Science, Law, Psychology or related field focus on gender issues. At least 3 years of relevant experience with partners at the national or international level in the areas of GVBiE, Gender mainstreaming and women and girls’ empowerment, ideally within the humanitarian context. Good understanding on contemporary GBV relevant development issues and national policy and law. Demonstrated skills in providing technical inputs to PIB, and partners team to overcome social and structural barriers related to GE, SRHR, SGBV prevention and protection, MHPSS and autonomous decision-making capacities to make informed life choices by the adolescent’s girls and young women. Experience in coordination with different stakeholders and consortium project. Previous work experience in GAC funded project. Demonstrated skills in training manual/module development and facilitation skills on GBV. In -depth understanding on gender dimension, gender equality and inclusion as well as equal power partnership concepts. Flexible and adaptive to take challenge. Ability to lead implementation, monitoring and supervision of development projects. Ability to work in a matrix management, strict date line and multi-tasking environment. Exposure to community development especially in the child rights and SRHR. Must have an appropriate communication style when communicating with the whole range of colleagues, partners, government high officials, children and communities. Working experience in matrix management. Excellent interpersonal communication skill. Verbal and written proficiency in English. Excellent reporting skills in English and Bengali. Ready for extensive travel to remote geographical location

Salary Package for this role is BDT. 86,870 to BDT. 97,730 fixed monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
Closing Date: 15 February 2024. Selected candidate will get initially contract up to September 30, 2024 for this position and highly possibility for extension based on performance.
