Child Protection Specialist

(Based at Barisal Divisional Office of Plan International Bangladesh)

The Role:

The Child Protection is a key technical position for the project to reach all Project Outcomes specially strengthen referral system within schools and community. Engaging members of CBCPC, CWB & CMPC.
This position requires technical skills in developing technical guideline, training manual and conduction of training to the respective partner organizations. The position holder will be responsible for strengthening prevention and the responsiveness of the child protection systems and frameworks by promoting and enforcing Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017. She/he is responsible for monitoring Child protection programme quality, documentation and dissemination of project’s learning and good practices.

What we’re looking for:

We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Master’s Degree preferably in development studies, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in child protection work, preferably with a focus on vulnerable or at-risk children in school and community.

Essential:

  • In-depth knowledge of child protection principles, international conventions, and local laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex child protection and community-based Child protection system.
  • Experience working with educational institutions, government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Experience in following result framework of the project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong data analytical and report writing skills, with the ability to lead data collection according to result framework.

Monthly allowance range for this role is Tk. 108,589.00 to Tk. 135,736.00 (may vary based on experience).
