The Project:
Plan International Bangladesh is going to implementing a multi years project titled ‘Girls Get Equal: Integrated approach to end CEFM’ ‘in one district (Barguna) of Barisal Division. The overall objective of the project is to reduce the incidence of child marriage in 16 unions of two sub-districts within the district of Barguna. The project will reach 26,000 children and youth in Barguna District with interventions across the five outcome areas which are girls’ retention in school, youth economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), social norm changes and child protection. The project will target the most marginalized adolescents and young women, will follow a clear tested graduation model to make the young women economically productive through effective training and income generating opportunities and socially empowered to achieve gender equality in the world of work.
The Role:
The Technical Specialist- SRHR is a key technical position for the project to reach Outcome. Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights among adolescents in schools and community. This position requires technical skills in developing technical guideline, training manual and conduction of training to the respective partner organizations. The position holder will be responsible for strengthening prevention and the responsiveness of the child protection systems and frameworks by promoting and enforcing Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017. She/he is responsible for monitoring SRHR programme quality, documentation and dissemination of project’s learning and good practices.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking an experienced SRHR Specialist to lead the implementation of build awareness and increase knowledge on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of the target group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing activities, ensuring that they are in the line with project goals and objectives, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
