The Role:

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) is responsible for managing and coordinating all grant proposal development and reporting both for Country office and for Cox Bazar, in collaboration with the respective Technical Leads and the Head of Division – Cox’s Bazar and CHT.

With support from Director Programme Development and Learning (DPDL), the Business Development Specialist is responsible for establishing a funding strategy through internal and external donor mapping, liaison and relation building with potential donor agencies including business intelligence. S/he ensures donors’ requirements and compliance to Plan’s corporate policies, procedures, and alignment to response goals and objectives, maintaining at all times the ethical standards of the organization in grants acquisition.

This position is based in the Country Office with frequent travels to Cox Bazar and other divisional offices. S/He supports Director Programme Development and Learning (DPDL) to lead fundraising/proposal development processes within Plan International Bangladesh to meet the grants acquisition annual target.

What we’re looking for:

We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Master’s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Social sciences, or other relevant field from a recognized university. The person should have Around 3 years of proven experience in a similar job (Euro 8M+ annual fundraising target across multiple donors). Needs to have experience in grant management systems. Should have demonstrated knowledge of budgeting principles and all aspects of proposal design. Has to have representational skills and be able to present information concisely and effectively to external actors.Also, should have a proper understanding of donor regulations and solutions to ensure strategic and financially viable projects within donor regulations.

The person should have adherence to child rights and child protection aspects within and outside work, keeping a child rights and cost-effectiveness perspective on all that we do. Also, have a willingness to work for and on behalf of the organization at times of disaster within Plan working areas.

Monthly consolidated salary range for this role is Tk. 147,106.00 to Tk. 183,883.00 (may vary based on experience) along with other benefits i.e. Life Insurance, Hospitalization Insurance coverage along with Out Patient Treatment Benefit.
