The role and Scope:

National level influencing that builds on, and is informed by our programme work in Bangladesh and Plan’s other country offices will play a key role in delivering results at scale. Plan International Bangladesh has been awarded multi-year grant from Plan Denmark to implement Child Bride to Bookworm Project (Christmas Calendar 2020) project at Urban and Slum area. The project envisions to increase the number of boys and girls at Urban and Slum who complete quality

Education in Primary and Secondary school in Bangladesh. This will be achieved through targeted gender transformative education interventions, developed by school and community The Technical Specialist-Secondary Education of Christmas Calendar 2020 project will be responsible to provide overall technical support to the project related to improvement of Secondary Education at Urban and Slum area and implementing partner including building the capacity of relevant stakeholder. The position holder will take lead to develop different awareness materials, design, develop training Manual/Guideline and review program strategies as well as different intervention packages with other team member. S/he must have very good understanding about the challenges of the Secondary Education, skilled to understand secondary curriculum framework and in detail curriculum revision process by NCTB. S/he needs to have clear understanding on Gender Equality, life skills and SRHR and how it contributes to reducing dropout at secondary schools. S/he needs to identify the modalities to aware community people about the implication of child marriage which is one of the important causes of school dropout. The technical specialist will facilitate different trainings and capacity building initiatives when and wherever applicable. The post holder must have good understanding on Gender Transformative Education program, capable to develop gender transformative education tool, and inclusive education material.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a passionate team member who has understanding in monitoring and evaluation and developing M&E and Research Plan, comprehend and capture lessons learning of success, achievement of advocacy, capacity building and establishes good relationships with stakeholders. Master’s degree in Education, ECD or Social science are preferred. Minimum five years of experience in similar role particularly in secondary education level in any development organization with demonstrated ability to building the capacity and mentoring of school and partner.

Salary Package: BDT.  86,870.00 – 1,06,652.00 (Monthly CTC) along with other benefits i.e., Life insurance and hospitalization benefit and leave.
