Technical Specialist-ICT Child, Not Bride (CNB) Project

The Role & Scope:

In collaboration with Plan International Norway, Plan International Bangladesh is going to start a project with the financial support of Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) Telethon that aims to reduce the Early Child and Forced Marriage- CEFM in Bangladesh, and the target district is Kurigram in particular. The integrated project will work in the areas of youth governance, sexual reproductive health and rights, CEFM system strengthening & monitoring and girls’ economic empowerment that will ultimately contribute to combating early and forced marriage. Through this project, the girls and young women along with the boys and young men will be empowered to drive a systemic change for achieving gender equality and promoting an enabling environment for youth especially for girls and young women to build their future aspirations and make decisions. The project will be implemented from January 2022 to December 2025.

The Technical Specialist-ICT is one of the key technical position and will report to the Project Manager. Besides, s/he needs to collaborate with the technical persons of other thematic areas, HR & OD, finance, logistic and admin, IT, partners staff, etc. S/he will closely work with the Technical Specialist SOYEE Girls and young women are economically empowered. It is the role of the Digital & Innovation component to nurture creativity and support teams to develop new impactful offerings in the areas of project implementation, influencing and operations. The role requires developing the digital content, analysing the skills required for the young people who have access to digital devices, managing the online tools in the websites, networking with the online educational platform and partnership with them etc. This role needs to ensure that youth gets work readiness skills through the digital platform.

What we’re looking for

Candidate needs to have bachelor/master’s degree in ICT discipline preferably from any reputed university. At least three years of demonstrated work experience in ICT/digitisation skills preferably gained in the narrower sense (programming, app development, databases, ICT hardware etc.) or the broader sense (protection of personal data, social media communication, digital start-ups, maker spaces, digital literacy etc.) and understanding regarding IT developments and IT/ICT projects.

Salary Package: Salary range BDT 86,870 to BDT 97,730 (Monthly Cost to the Company based on experience) along with other benefits i.e., Life insurance and hospitalization benefit, Festival Bonus, Provident Fund etc.
