Project Manager- Child Bride to Bookworm

The role and scope

Plan International Bangladesh in partnership with SUROVI is implementing “Child Bride to Bookworm project” since January 2020. The project aims to reduce the schools dropout rate in secondary schools of Dhaka City through i) strengthening SMC and other stakeholders capacity on schools governance ii) creating an enabling learning environment both at school and at home with a major focus on gender transformative approach and iii) supporting marginalized students through need based support. 

Currently, Plan International Bangladesh is seeking a Project Manager who will oversee and manage the smooth operation and implementation of the identified project activities, and also line manage the project staff through partnership implementation modalities on time, on budget and with quality. This includes line management of Technical Specialist-Secondary Education and Gender Specialist to meet with donor compliance and the needs of the students, teachers, community and schools. The project manager will ensure quality delivery and achievement of project objectives and results, and will be responsible for reporting, following up with partner, supporting monitoring compliance and regular monitoring of project achievements. The role requires close collaboration with other project and technical teams across the organization.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a potential team member who has Master’s degree in Education or in Social Science with around 5 years’ experience in managing complex secondary education project while 3 years managerial experience in livelihood/education/child protection including strong project management, budget management and analysis skills

Salary Package: BDT.  1,29,040.00 – 1,61,300.00 (Monthly CTC) along with other benefits i.e., Life insurance, and hospitalization benefit.
