Head - Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL)

They are at risk of being denied the opportunity to access a secondary education, to gain the skills and training they need to work and to exercise control over their sexual and reproductive health. They are at risk of being married before the age of 18. They are at risk of violence and harassment from men and boys in every space they occupy, including their home, their school, their refugee camp and their city.

Plan International Bangladesh is looking for Head of MERL who will lead the implementing Result Based Management (RBM) approach with a clear link between interventions and outcomes with a thrust on outcome monitoring; and a focus on knowledge management for scaling up of innovative programs.

The role

The Head of MERL & KM is heading the MERL unit and is accountable for all MERL related components in the implementation process of the Programme Quality Policy and the Research & Knowledge Management Unit. As a head of the department S/he also needs to provide necessary guidance and lead the team members to implement the all MERL initiatives including PMERL, MIS, Annual Outcome Monitoring, Data Quality Assurance, Accountability Mechanism.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a passionate team member who has at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in designing, planning, monitoring, evaluation and research in international development with Master degree in economics, political science, monitoring & evaluation, development studies or other subjects from social sciences.

Salary Package for this role is BDT. 1,69,760 to BDT. 2,12,200 monthly Cost to the company, based on experience along with other benefits i.e., Life insurance and hospitalization benefit and Festival Bonus.
