Plan International Bangladesh is looking for a committed and passionate person who fits in the role of Communications Specialist-Project Support. The scope includes;

  • Ensure technical support to the ongoing projects for planning and production of compelling and issues-oriented communications, advocacy and branding materials.
  • Prepares media contents i.e. press release, media briefing, backgrounders, speaking notes, briefing documents, rejoinders etc. to support affirmative media placements of project works.
  • Will also extend technical support to the project team in facilitating the national and international media visits and fundraising content generation visits.
  • Provide support to build capacity of project personnel to ensure quality contents (stories, photos, videos, statements) from working location/s in an appropriate manner. 
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility

What we’re looking for

  • We need a dynamic individual who has a degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Communications for Development or similar areas with 5 years post-qualifications experience in communication and related activities Has possess significant experience in generating content for high quality communication, branding and campaign materials like case study, photo story, scripts for video, promotional materials, infographics, fact sheets, micro blog, web stories etc. Has proven experience to write clearly, concisely and persuasively in English and Bangla– translating complex issues for a variety of audiences (e.g. policy-makers, general population, and young people). Demonstrated Knowledge on using modern communications channels and tools (e.g. media, digital media, blogs, web etc.) to maximum the impact of the organizational work. Ability to adopting an appropriate communication style when communicating with the whole range of colleagues, partners, consultants, vendors, children, young people and communities; exhibits active listening and effective feedback. Has experience to identify capacity building needs, develop capacity building interventions and facilitate training for different stakeholder on strategic Communications (Staff, partner, youths etc.)

Salary Package: BDT. 129040 to 140000 (monthly cost to the company) along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee (only).
