Communications Manager
(Based at Bangladesh Country Office, Dhaka)

Plan International Bangladesh is looking for a committed and passionate person who fits in the role of Communications Manager. The scope includes:

  • Leads Plan International Bangladesh’s communication work
  • Identifies links between key national issues and relevant regional and global trends and their relevance to the Bangladesh country programme
  • Makes links with programme work to ensure Plan International Bangladesh’s, programmes, policy and research, are profiles externally
  • Responsible for shaping and delivering work, which has a significant impact on Plan International’s public image - at national and international level
  • Represents Plan International Bangladesh internally and externally, media and other communications professionals
  • Manages a team of 2 and short team consultant: Digital Media Coordinator, Communications Specalist
  • Oversees a small delegated communications and branding budget

What we’re looking for
We need a dynamic individual who possess significant experience in developing and managing communications content and tools and success in delivering high -quality digital strategies, including extensive experience with web and social media. The post holder needs to have excellent ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively in English and Bangla– translating complex issues for a variety of audiences along with strong public speaking skills in English and Bangla.

An advanced degree (Master’s) in Communications, English or Advertising, or similar area of study, from any of the top universities in Bangladesh or from overseas with experience (six to eight) in Strategic Communications positions preferably in development and / or humanitarian contexts.
