Request for Proposal (RFP)
Consultancy services for Clinical Training on LARC & PMs and LNG-IUS

Accelerating Universal Access to Family Planning (AUAFP) contributes to the health and wellbeing of Bangladeshis. The project supports producing and deploying skilled, responsive, and respectful FP providers; strengthens the delivery of quality FP services, especially for adolescents and youth, and postpartum women; and works with communities to transform norms around the use of family planning information and services. With a mandate to support the GOB to reach its FP objectives, Pathfinder International works closely with its MOHFW counterparts. Pathfinder International contributes to USAID Bangladesh’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS), specifically Strategic Objective 3: Health Status Improved. The goal of Pathfinder International is to contribute to the improved health and human capital in Bangladesh. The project deploys adaptive, needs-driven technical assistance (TA) and systems strengthening at the national, divisional, and district levels.

During the project period, Pathfinder International will support Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) in implementing family planning programs, including capacity development of the service providers. Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) has been implementing different activities aiming to increase contraceptive uptake with increased share of Long Acting and Permanent Methods (LAPM) in the method mix. In this regard quality services delivery is the primary focus that could ultimately lead to increase LAPM uptake by reducing dropout and thereby increasing client’s satisfaction. While skills of the service providers are directly associated with quality FP services delivery, Pathfinder International capacity development programs are largely focusing on the LAPM service delivery skills improvement of the service providers.
In order to implement the activities, the Project is looking for a team of consultants (a lead consultant and two associate consultants) to plan and facilitate the ToT and the trainings, as per discussion/coordination with Pathfinder International team. Pathfinder International, Bangladesh plans to issue three separate contracts for this Scope of Work, therefore, individual proposals may be submitted for separate consultancy as mentioned below.
