Consultancy Services for Review and finalization of CCSDP unit's managed Paid Peer Volunteers' Performance assessment of Director General of Family Planning (DGFP)

Pathfinder International, with strategic support from the Obstetrics-Gynecology Society of Bangladesh (OGSB), the World Health Organization and University of Dhaka is implementing the USAID Accelerating Universal Access to Family Planning (AUAFP) project in Bangladesh. The goal of AUAFP is to contribute to the improved health and human capital in Bangladesh.  In Bangla, the project name is “Shukhi Jibon”.

The project is supporting the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) to expand access to quality Family Planning (FP) services through a collaborative health system capacity building partnership with the Government of Bangladesh (GoB). Through technical support at the central level, the project is supporting DGFP for Data for Decision Making and technical documentation and disseminations of best practices.

As a continuation of above support, Shukhi Jibon is working with the Clinical Contraception Services Delivery Program (CCSDP) unit of DGFP to assess the performance of Paid Peer Volunteers (PPV) to increase acceptance of long-acting reversable contraceptives (LARCs) and permanent methods of contraception (PMs), especially among Young Married Couples (YMCs). A professional consultancy support is needed to write the final report. Shukhi Jibon is working to prepare a report assessing the performance of the PPVs. The report will be based on data analysis from previously collected FP performance data in areas where this cadre has been deployed, in addition to interviews that were recorded with DGFP representatives and a knowledge assessment conducted with PPVs. A professional consultant is needed to conduct the analysis of the available data and produce the narrative report and ensure appropriate presentation of the findings to the DGFP in both a report and Powerpoint presentation.
