About the role

Based in Ukhiya, the Senior Officer- Faecal Sludge Management will be responsible to implement faecal sludge management services under the FSM extension project.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the field facilitator- FSM.
  • Leads and Organizes training in FSM promotion (for the staffs, volunteers, health workers, WASH committee members)
  • Assists to develop IEC/BCC materials on promotional activities
  • Leads and facilitates FSM activities for categorical groups/populations which include interventions like awareness raising campaigns, focus group discussions etc.
  • Leads the FSM activities and tracks performances against the deliverables timeline
  • Assists to Project Lead and senior management in preparing various reports and documents with qualitative and quantitative information on the ongoing construction works of the project
  • Arranges and coordinates weekly or monthly coordination meetings including camp level WASH agencies meeting and attend sectoral meetings to update the project activities and situation at the camp
  • Represents Practical Action in different forums, meeting, workshop and other events.
  • Assists the project lead in preparing the budget proposal and logistics for FSM activities: making and follow-up of core purchase order, quality control of material delivered by suppliers etc. 
  • In addition, s/he will be responsible to act according to the Project Lead.

About you

Essential experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Relevant Master’s degree with minimum 05 years of relevant working experience preferably with INGOs.
  • Well conversant in English
  • Interpersonal skill
  • Good writing skill
