Head of Project Management Unit (PMU)

Do you have substantial experience of working closely with Internal program and operational team of about 60 to 70 staff members and external actors such as NGOAB, DC, RRRC, UNHCR, other UN agencies, Donors, and affiliate members.?

Do you have a post-graduation/graduation qualification in a related field of study with a quality experience providing a range of ensuring donor and state compliances, risk management, archiving, development and updating the project management system, supporting and supervising partnership strategy to an organisation?

Do you have knowledge of Change management in a large organizational setup and demonstrable experience of working of the governance, management, and tools/policies?

Significant staff management experience and skills in developing teams?

The Role:

Oxfam is evolving as a dynamic and focused organization. Bangladesh is a high-priority program for Oxfam. Your role as the Head of the Project Management Unit is designed to manage the overall national portfolio of all restricted grants which includes ensuring donor and state compliances, risk management, archiving, development and updating the project management system, supporting and supervising partnership strategy, contributing to the country strategy and supporting program director with growth and expansion of Oxfam’s reach.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a top-notch Project Management Unit professional and champion to lead a diversified team and support a partner based long-term development programmes spread across various geographic locations within Bangladesh. The person must have demonstrated experience to deal with a large team in Bangladesh and maintain functional collaboration across a networked organization globally. This position is expected to play the overall responsibilities.

  • 100% donor compliance with quality Management of Oxfam’s internal system of grants compliance
  • Mentoring and Coaching partners
  • Executing partnerships
  • Regular and Operational communications with the Donors and relevant Oxfam
    affiliate members
  • Develop and update project management systems according to the grant
    requirements
  • Program, financial monitoring of partners for specific grants
  • Develop and manage of project management unit archive
