The Role:

We are looking for Project and Partnership Support Liaison who will 

  • Build, develop and strengthen relationships with the different government entities in Cox’s Bazar.
  • Supports the implementation of the programmatic pillars of Oxfam in Bangladesh.
  • Promote Oxfam’s mandate, projects and strategy to establish relations with potential partners.
  • Follow-up and collaborate in the fulfilment of commitments agreed by Oxfam and its counterparts at local levels.
  • Work with the humanitarian team, appropriate partner organizations and other actors to develop a comprehensive partnership framework.

What we are looking for:

You will bring

  • Post Graduate Degree or Degree with equivalent work experience from a recognized University/college in Humanitarian Assistance or Capacity Building or any other related area that can bring added value to the job.
  • Relevant international experience of 7 - 10 years for Post graduate holders, or 10 years + for degree holders, in humanitarian work with partners, preferably in an international NGO/operational UN agency/equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in partner capacity development role at senior level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and standards of programme quality in emergencies.
  • Experience of designing and implementing gendered humanitarian interventions.

We offer:

The position will lead Oxfam’s engagement with civil society and partner organisations in Cox’s Bazar. The post holder will work closely with national NGOs/civil society organisations on delivery of effective humanitarian assistance as well as technical capacity building and organisational development. The Project & Partnership Support LIAISON is leading on the Humanitarian Partnership Strategy, carries out wider partner mappings, and manages a Capacity Development programme.  It is expected that the programme will use innovative and holistic methods of capacity development.  The Project & Partnership Support LIAISON will work closely with the rest of the Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka programme to ensure that the partners are integrated into the Oxfam programme.
