PROJECT LIAISON

Do you have the vast experience to liaise and network with relevant local govt
authorities, and other stakeholders at sub-district and Union Parishads levels on
operational issues relevant to the field activities as well as representation skills
towards Government Officials and project stakeholders?
Do you have the advanced level of skill to translate relevant programme and project
documents from English into Bangla (and vice versa) and write formal forwarding
letters to accompany these when submitting them to various government/ local govt
officials for approval or endorsement?
Do you have at least 3 years’ experience of working with a humanitarian/development
sector organization with the ability to work in a complex organisation while keeping
focus on project outcomes?

The Role:
We are looking for the PROJECT LIAISON to be responsible for
coordinating Oxfam’s works among various government departments and other
national relevant actors in Teknaf sub-districts. They will liaise and network with the
various government officials, local govt institutions, and local, national and
international NGO representatives at sub-district level. They will formally represent
Oxfam in government, coordination and sectorial meetings at Teknaf sub-district
level and below. They will also ensure that Oxfam’s operations have all the
necessary government approvals and support the Oxfam team to make sure our
programmes are legally compliant. They will submit requests for approval for our
operations to the government/ local govt sectors and keep government/ local govt
officials informed about the progress of our work.
What we are looking for:
At least 3 years’ experience of working with a humanitarian/development sector
organization and an under-graduate degree; ability to work in a complex organisation
while keeping focus on project outcomes; understanding of Paurashava/municipality,
Upazila and Union Parishad development plan and ways or working; extensive
experience working with Government representatives and technical departments;
excellent reporting skills in English and Bangla; able to write formal letters and
documents in Bangla on a computer; substantial experience in working with multipartners projects and stakeholders; excellent representation skills towards
Government Officials and project stakeholders; experience in the Cox’s Bazar area;
local Chittagonian/Rohingya language is an advantage.

possibility of extension based on the budget and performance)
Salary & Benefits: BDT. 12,71,588 gross per annum (13 months) with other
benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity,
leave & insurance, etc
