FUNDING COORDINATOR

Do you have a minimum of 5 -8 years’ practical experience in identifying fundraising opportunities preferably for NGO’s and a good track record of successfully acquired funding and donor-compliant implementation of programs?

Do you have the demonstrable experience in managing donor contracts, in particular from institutional donors, such as UN donors (UNHCR, UNICEF, IOM, WFP and UN Women), GAC, AusAID, etc.?

Do you have strong technical knowledge of donor funding proposals and log-frames in thematic area?

The Role:

We are looking for providing strategic management and leadership on the project designing process, funding proposal development and grant management for Oxfam’s Rohingya response in Bangladesh; coordinating fundraising and grant management for Cox’s Bazar programme; supporting and capacity build the programme teams and country office in planning to secure and managing restricted funds. Alongside, developing and maintaining good working relationships with donor organizations and thereby maximize income from these sources.

What we are looking for:

Experience with identifying fundraising opportunities preferably for NGO’s and a good track record of successfully acquired funding and donor-compliant implementation of programs; experience in managing donor contracts, in particular from institutional donors, such as UN donors (UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP and UN Women), ECHO, EU, GAC, DFID, AusAID, etc; knowledge of NGO programming in emergencies and/or development environments; strong technical knowledge of donor funding proposals and log-frames in thematic area; sound knowledge of institutional and government donors and funding policies; good research skills with ability to identify and propose successful strategies for identifying and establishing donor opportunities; good relationship management skills, with ability to represent Oxfam with external organizations and individuals; highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in external organizational representation; good written skills with proven ability to develop and present proposals and plans, for both internal and external audiences; excellent operational, planning and budgeting skills; self-motivated, target driven and an entrepreneurial approach to exploiting fundraising opportunities; good administrative skills and ability to effectively use IT packages eg Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Databases Strong numeracy and general financial skills; ability to work effectively with others in a team situation to achieve fundraising targets; relevant academic qualifications; knowledge and experience of Oxfam’s program work and systems; willingness to travel.

Salary & Benefits: GBP 29,954 net per annum (for national candidates’ national C1 salary scale will be applicable along with others admissible benefits)
