To ensure Oxfam has the management, technical and logistical capacity to scale up and to respond rapidly to humanitarian emergencies.

The Role:

The employee will be responsible to ensure the coordination for day to day HR Operations including recruitment, Induction, GOLD (global on line database), HRIS, Payroll, Compensation / Benefits, Contract Management and Record maintenance.

S/he ensure corporate policies and procedures, conducting effective HR filing system, providing administrative support to HR department, managing staff medical claims and supporting HR coordinator in recruitment, performance management and learning & development functions.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced communicator who has a passion for raising the voices of communities living in crisis. You will be a creative self-starter who has proven experience in managing people in a large organization.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:  

Essential

  • Masters/MBA (HRM)
  • An understanding of HR issues relevant to emergencies work
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources Management and Development, staff performance and demonstrable interest in personal development
  • Computing skills, including knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheets and database management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an approachable working style, sensitivity to the needs of others
  • Willingness to travel to sub-offices within Country and Outside
  • Show respect to confidentiality and advise staff on professional HR issues
  • Ability to communicate, written and orally, in English and Bangla
  • Ability to work in a systematic and well-organized manner, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding on Gender and Diversity

Desirable

  • Ability to work within a team or independently (often unsupervised)
  • Ability to model Oxfam’s desired organizational culture (making a difference, innovative, collaborative, accountable, cost effective) with staff.
  • Sympathy towards Oxfam GB’s aims, beliefs and objectives

Job Type: Temporary Fixed Term (06 Months Maternity Cover)

Salary: BDT.  7,27,205 gross per annum (13 months) with other benefits
