The role:
The Country Health, Safety, and Security Manager, as the senior security official, reports to the Country Director for Safety and Security and serves as the primary advisor to the Country Director and the Senior Management Team on all health, safety, and security matters. While the Country Director manages the day-to-day responsibilities, the Manager collaborates with the Regional and Global teams at Oxfam on substantive issues. Above all, the Manager is responsible for advising the Country Director and the Country Leadership Team on their security duties and responsibilities, following Oxfam International's Health, Safety, and Security Management System.

An ideal candidate for the role will also have:
- Advanced university degree in Security, Risk and/or Crisis Management, Military/Police Science, Law, or related fields.
- Significant relevant experience and training may substitute for an advanced degree.
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in security risk management, with practical experience in security assessment, planning, and implementing procedures in humanitarian operations.
- Ability to advise and support field staff consultatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain strategic focus. Must be organized and efficient.
- Strong understanding of gender awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences, with the ability to work in diverse cultural contexts and willingness to travel on short notice, often in challenging conditions.
- Commitment to Oxfam principles and proficiency in Bangla and English.

Job type: Fixed Term, Contractual.
Salary & Benefits: as per Oxfam National C2 pay band, starting annual salary for this role is BDT2,104,742.00 (13 months) with other benefits e.g., medical for self, spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, leave, life insurance, mobile allowance, and other admissible benefits as per the organizational policy. For highly competent & experienced candidates the salary can be negotiable.
