Job Description / Responsibility

The "Gender Uplifting for Inclusive Development and Community Empowerment" project aims to promote gender equality, social inclusion, and community empowerment through the strengthening of civil society organizations (CSOs) and fostering engagement between local communities and government institutions. To achieve this, the project seeks to engage local facilitation agents to support the effective implementation of union-level activities, focusing on capacity building, outreach enhancing, networking promotion, and facilitating advocacy. This ToR outlines the key roles and objectives for the Field Facilitation Agents (FFA), ensuring their contribution to building stronger CSOs and more inclusive community development in the target unions.

Scope of Work:

The Field Facilitation Agents will be responsible for facilitating union-level activities in alignment with the project's goals. They will work closely with community stakeholders, CSOs, and government agencies to ensure effective mobilization and capacity-building efforts. The facilitation agents will serve as key links between the project and the communities, ensuring active participation, local ownership, and dialogue.

Job Location: Union Level of Naria, Jangira and Bhedorgonj Upazillas of Shariatpur District

Educational Requirements
  • HSC
  • Skills Required: Good communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
  • Age at most 40 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • Proven experience in community mobilization, facilitation, and advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of gender issues, civil society engagement, and local governance structures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with the socio-economic context of the project area and local community dynamics.
  • Fluency in the local language(s) and knowledge of the cultural context.

Salary

  • Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits

Each union Officer will be entitled to receive a service charge not exceeding Tk 25,000 against submission of monthly invoice.

Over time NUSA has become a positive force in social issues such as women empowerment, civic engagement, arbitration and legal aid training, education, health, including micro-credit program. ??NUSA has promoted gender equality since its inception and worked for women's rights and combating domestic violence for several years. Worked for capacity building, advocacy and networking through multiple grants funded projects over a long period of time. NUSA is rooted in Shariatpur with a working area spreading over 6 districts namely Shariatpur, Madaripur, Barisal, Chandpur and Faridpur are mostly among the poorest regions in Bangladesh.
