Job Description / Responsibility
Job Summary:
The Project Manager for the "Gender Uplifting for Inclusive Development and Community Empowerment" project will lead the comprehensive planning, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality, inclusive development, and community empowerment. The role involves strategic oversight across multiple functional areas, including project management, financial management, partnership management, technical guidance, advocacy, and networking. The Project Manager will work closely with consortium partners, local stakeholders, and the community to ensure impaction and sustainable project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

Develop and execute a detailed project implementation plan based on the project proposal, ensuring alignment with goals, objectives, and timelines.

Oversee day-to-day project operations, ensuring effective coordination among team members and adherence to agreed deliverables.

Manage project risks by identifying potential issues, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and relevant laws and regulations.

2. Financial Management

Manage the project budget, ensuring prudent financial management, and that expenditures align with the approved budget and financial targets.

Work with the finance team to develop financial reports, monitor spending, and track variances, ensuring that the project remains on-budget.

Facilitate regular financial reviews and budget revisions as necessary, providing timely updates to donors and consortium partners.

3. Partnership Management

Cultivate strong relationships with consortium partners, CSOs, community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate the roles and contributions of all partners according to the consortium agreement, ensuring synergy and collaborative efforts.

Support capacity-building initiatives for local partners and CSOs to enhance their institutional effectiveness and advocacy capabilities.

4. Technical Guidance

Provide technical leadership on gender equality, inclusion, and community empowerment, ensuring that best practices and evidence-based approaches guide project activities.

Design and deliver technical training for project staff and partners, focusing on gender-sensitive and inclusive development practices.

Ensure the integration of cross-cutting themes such as gender, social inclusion, and sustainability in all project activities.

5. Leading Advocacy and Networking

Lead advocacy efforts to promote gender equality and community empowerment at the local and national levels, working with relevant stakeholders and influencers.

Engage in policy dialogue with government officials and other partners to influence policy changes that support gender and inclusive development.

Build and maintain networks with national and international NGOs, advocacy groups, and donor agencies to strengthen the project's visibility and impact.

6. Monitoring and Reporting

Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan, tracking project progress against set milestones, outcomes, and impact indicators.

Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality control, gather data, and address any implementation challenges.

Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors, consortium partners, and organizational leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

Ensure that all monitoring and reporting processes are aligned with organizational standards and donor requirements.
Job Location: Naria, Shariatpur with frequent field visits to other project upazilas and grassroots project locations.
Employment Status: FullTime
Educational Requirements
Master's degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Age at most 50 years
- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in gender-focused or community empowerment projects
- Strong understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and advocacy within a development context.
- Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Demonstrated success in managing partnerships with CSOs, government agencies, and donors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation, with experience in impact assessments and reporting.
- Experience with donor-funded projects and working knowledge of donor compliance requirements.
- Strong commitment to gender equality and social inclusion.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate complex environments and manage multiple priorities.

Salary: Tk. 68000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits
Monthly salary and allowances will be Tk 68,000 / -, in addition to two (2) festival bonus in a year.

NUSA is rooted in Shariatpur with a working area spreading over 6 districts namely Shariatpur, Madaripur, Barisal, Chandpur and Faridpur are mostly among the poorest regions in Bangladesh.
