Position Overview

Position Title: Executive Officer (EO) to First Vice President (FVP)

Department: Financial Administration Division (FAD)

Location: Head Office, Dhaka

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with IFRS, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare annual tax returns, monthly VAT returns, and other statutory returns in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support effective management decision-making.
  • Monitor and assist in investment decision for investment in the capital market of the Bank.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including General Ledger (GL) reconciliation, inter-branch reconciliation, and periodic financial reporting.
  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements for Bangladesh Bank, NBR, and other relevant authorities.
  • Review vendor and consultant invoices, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain proper supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal control mechanisms and enhancing financial processes and reporting quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • CA / CMA qualified candidates will be given preference; partly qualified candidates may also apply subject to relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a reputed university (no third division/class at any level).
  • 3–12 years (depending on the position) of professional experience in accounts, finance, or financial reporting; experience in a Bank or NBFI will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Bangladesh Bank circulars, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Sound understanding of VAT and Tax regulations applicable in Bangladesh.
  • Excellent command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience supervising or guiding a small team.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, data analysis, and relevant accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
