The incumbent will spearhead the Bank’s technology strategy, ensure robust IT governance, and drive next-generation digital banking initiatives in compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership & Vision: Develop and implement a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with the Bank’s vision for digital leadership.
- Digital Transformation: Drive innovation in digital channels (mobile, internet, agent, and ATM banking), FinTech partnerships, API banking, and customer-centric solutions.
- Core Banking & Systems Excellence: Ensure uninterrupted performance, regular upgrades, and seamless integration of CBS and other mission-critical systems.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Governance: Establish world-class cybersecurity practices, robust data privacy frameworks, and business continuity measures.
- Emerging Technologies: Champion the adoption of AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cloud, and Data Analytics to deliver intelligent banking experiences.
- Data & Analytics: Leverage big data and Business Intelligence (BI) tools for predictive insights, fraud prevention, and personalized customer services.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee data centers, networks, and cloud environments to ensure scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Bank’s ICT guidelines and international standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.).
- Vendor & Partner Management: Lead technology vendor negotiations, partnerships, and strategic alliances to ensure cost-effectiveness and future readiness.
- Team Building & Mentorship: Build a high-performing IT team, fostering innovation, continuous learning, and a strong digital culture.
- Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a catalyst for change by aligning technology adoption with business process reengineering. Collaborate closely with Business Units, Risk, HR, and Operations to ensure organization-wide buy-in for IT initiatives.
- Budgeting & ROI Optimization: Prepare, monitor, and control the IT budget ensuring cost efficiency, optimum utilization of resources, and measurable return on technology investments.
- Sustainability & Green IT: Implement eco-friendly IT practices including energy-efficient data centers, virtualization, and paperless processes.
Required Experiences
- Minimum 12 years of progressive IT experience in Financial Institutions, with at least 5 years in Head/Deputy Head of IT/CIO/CITO role in Banks.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale IT transformation projects, including CBS migration, digital banking platforms, and FinTech integrations.
- Deep expertise in cyber security, IT governance, risk management frameworks etc.
- Strong knowledge of emerging digital technologies, including Cloud, AI, Blockchain, API ecosystems, and DevOps.
- Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative, customer-centric IT solutions that drive growth and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills with the ability to align IT strategy with business goals.
Educational Qualifications
- Graduation/Post Graduation Degree in CSE, ICT, EEE, MIS, or related fields from a reputed public or UGC-approved recognized private university.
- Professional certifications such as CFM, CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, or Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) will add strong value.
- No 3rd Division/Class or equivalent CGPA/GPA in any academic record is acceptable.
