Position: Programme Manager “Education Programme”

NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice is an international organisation based in Bangladesh and Germany. We seek a new colleague for the position of “Programme Manager” for our Education Programme Team. The NETZ team is responsible for the partnership with local and national NGOs to facilitate rights to education for the children of the marginalised communities. The Programme Manager will be based at the NETZ Bangladesh Office in Dhaka and is reportable to the Team Leader, Inclusive Quality Education Team of NETZ.

Major Role
The major role of the Programme Manager is to provide technical support and monitor partner NGOs in implementing education projects with quality and transparency. She also coordinates with the back-donors and keeps them and NETZ senior management updated on the projects as per plan.   

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Project:
    • Manage project in accordance with project proposals and guidelines;
    • Prepare an effective activity plan;
    • Provide orientation and guidance to the PNGOs staff members to implement project activities efficiently;
    • Ensure coordination, communication and conduct all administrative and technical tasks of projects;
  2. Monitor Project
    • Monitor projects at PNGOs in a timely manner;
    • Develop necessary project implementation and monitoring tools with the consultation of team members and the NETZ PME team;
  3. Provide Technical Support
    • Provide technical support to PNGOs through field visits and supportive supervision;
    • Assist the Team Leader and  Director to identify training options;
    • Prepare TOR for external and internal evaluation;
    • Attend different meetings, share project activities, status and represent the project in different meetings of PNGOs and NETZ as well as networking meetings on a national level;
    • Preparation, facilitation and reporting of project steering meetings;
  4. Reporting
    • Collect qualitative and quantitative data for different project reports;
    • Draft narrative project reports.
    • Coordinate with the NETZ PME team

Qualifications

  • Minimum Masters in Education, English or social science, an advanced degree in education will get preference.
  • More than five years of working experience in any reputed national/ international NGO in a similar position. In the case of an extraordinary candidate, the duration of experience may be flexible.
  • Skill in project management
  • Good knowledge of quality education;
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel,);
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla;
  • Knowledge of general administration;
  • Ability to plan and ensure optimum use of available resources;
  • Highly self-motivated and passionate individual who wants to make an impact

Compensation

The selected candidate will be provided with a consolidated salary of BDT 100,000 to 120,000 with other admissible benefits like provident fund, festival allowances etc.

Job Location: Dhaka with frequent field visits at least 100 working days in a year.
