Position: Project Coordinator, Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) under NGCAF

Context
National Girl Child Advocacy Forum (NGCAF) invites application from the Bangladeshi nationals for the position of “Project Coordinator” for Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) Project supported by Plan International Bangladesh. NGCAF is women leaded Network with 50 of Non- Government organization under the umbrella of The Hunger Project. NGCAF is working to ensure for Girl’s rights in Bangladesh and working closely with relevant ministries, parliament, media House, NGOs in national and local level.

Report to:  Secretary, NGCAF

Educational Requirements:  Master degree in any discipline, Preferably in Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Development Studies and Statistics or any other relevant field.

Project Management:

  • GAA Project Coordinator is responsible to lead the implementation of Girls Advocacy Alliance under the leadership of Secretary –NGCAF.
  • Being a Project lead the Project Coordinator has the responsibility to coordinate project-planning, implementation, monitoring with highest possible standards.
  • She/he must have the competency to prepare quarterly report, annual report, collect success stories, learning and provide information to GAA Team when required.

Financial and Partnership Management

  • The Project Coordinator will oversee and accomplish all activities of the project as per plan.
  • Project Coordinator will coordinate with GAA Focal person and Finance person of Plan International Bangladesh as and when required.
  • Track project budget vs expenditure is one of the important competency of the project coordinator of GAA.
  • She/he will guide Finance Personnel to prepare donor report and submit on time with the approval of Secretary NGCAF.
  • She/he has the responsibility to put the justification against under or over expenditure and submit to Plan International Bangladesh on time.

Policy advocacy:

  • She/he must have proper knowledge on policy advocacy and how to develop advocacy strategy based on the regular analysis of socio economic context.
  • GAA Project Coordinator should have the capacity to internalize GAA programme TOC, strategic choices and outcome and implement based on NGCAFs priority areas.
  • Provide coordination and linkages with different CSO platforms to uphold advocacy issues.
  • She/he must have knowledge on national and international Human Rights instrument –such as OPR, CEDAW, SDG, Children Act 2018 child marriage restraint act 2017, Human Trafficking suppression Act 2012,

Additional Requirements:

  • Age 35 to 40 Years
  • Both males and Females can apply
  • Good command in English and Bangla writing and Speaking
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point and good typing speed both Bangla and English
  • Good organising and communication skills.
  • Good report writing skill in English and Bangla
  • Good knowledge in GBV (Gender Based Violence)

Experience Requirements: At least 5 years in Women and Girl Child Affairs.

Employment Status: Project Based Full Time

Duty Station: NGCAF Secrteriate, Dhaka

Project Description: Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) has been working in Bangladesh since 2016 with the aim to reduce the gender based violence specially child marriage, trafficking as well as reduction of sexual harassment in workplace and Followup and improved existing legistation and public policies on prevention, elimination of gender based violence  and economic exclusion.

Job Responsibilities

  • To organise different training, meeting, workshop, and orientations with policy makers and stakeholders.
  • To ensure proper implementation of the project actvities in line with project delivery work plan.
  • To ensure project activity and financial management.
  • To ensure policy advocacy and network movement .
  • To maintain linkage with related GO, NGO. PNGO, Civil Society and other stakeholders.
  • To prepare narrative report by monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • To prepare monthly activities plan and budget.
  • To coordinate with regional and field coordinators.
  • To increase public support, improved policies and prctices of corporate/private sector actors
  • To implement legislation and public policies and improved practices of Government actors.
