Job Context:

  • The General Manager (Mechanical Engineering Department) will be a major contributor in the technical strategic development and shaping success of Nabil Group in Technical / Mechanical aspects.
  • You will work closely with the CEO, leadership team (Chief Engineer and others) and the Board of Directors to drive all technical and industrial aspects for further development of the Group.
  • The GM will be responsible for all Mechanical and  machinery operational aspects of the Company, including industrial electrical & machineries activates, strategic planning for Industrial projects, budget development and control for Machineries, technical input into research and development, as well as support to the industries.

Reporting:

  • Your reporting will be:
  1. To the Chief Engineer, Nabil Group for Technical aspects.
  2. To the Top Management body of the Group for Administrative aspects.  

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the mechanical, machineries and equipments of Nabil Industries & Farms.
  • Facilitate to set production capacity targets and maintain machineries efficiency to accomplish the objective.
  • Create and execute capacity building strategy for machinery, production, capacity growth plan for industries of Nabil Group.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems for up grading and maximizing the production.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipments if needed.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provide engineering information and supports by answering questions and requests.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
  • Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Plan, facilitate and execute daily, weekly and monthly Production plan and increase machine efficiency, yearly maintenance and checking plans.
  • Procure all items required for maintenance and repair of machineries.
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure industrial sustainability and growth.

Educational Requirements:

  • Msc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or above from reputed universities. Preferable BUET, RUET, KUET, CUET, etc.

Experience Requirements:

  • Must have minimum 12 years experience in relevant field.
  • Proven experience of working as GM or equivalent.
  • Positive attitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership quality and ability to inspire and develop under commands as a team.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent labors & workers management skills.

Job Location:

  • Rajshahi and anywhere in Bangladesh.

Salary:

  • Negotiable.
