Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS), a national-level non-government organization started its mission to stand by the distressed people with humanitarian aid when the country was hit by a massive flood in 1974. Having an organizational shape in 1977, MSS redirected its focus to poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor especially the urban and rural women of Bangladesh. Thereafter, MSS started a health and population services in 1982; an integrated savings and credit program for the urban poor in 1984 which has since become sustainable. MSS was again on the front line when the focus of development shifted to building democratic societies and promoting good governance.
Alongside working for poverty alleviation of the marginalized people, MSS is also promoting child rights, food security, health and nutrition services, housing, and non-formal primary education with a vision to establish a society free from poverty where there is equality among citizens and citizens' rights are respected. MSS is expanding its Social Services Program and intends to recruit qualified manpower for the following position:
Position: Senior Program Manager/ Program Manager (Social Services Program)

Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Ensure overall implementation of the project activities in line with project document, work plan, budget with quality, and in compliance with organizational policies as well as donor policies.
- Develop technical guidelines for improving access of the targeted community to the Social Services Program.
- Improving the quality of services in Education & Skill Development (for unemployed youths) Programs and Daycare Centers.
- Ensure expansion of existing services and establishing public-private partnerships in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
- Responsible for managing program budgets & ensuring sound financial monitoring/compliance and accountability of the project.
- Ensure effective technical support of the program through undertaking regular monitoring, handholding & close supervision of the program team.
- Lead the team to identify various funding opportunities & develop quality proposals targeting institutional and non-institutional funding.
- Identify the needs and support the development of staff and partners to increase their competence.
- Build, nurture & strengthen strategic partnerships with the various national & international humanitarian organizations including donors, government departments & other stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining contact with a wide range of organizations/ stakeholders for value addition to program/ project implementation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports both quantitative and qualitative.
- Maintain proper documentation (both hardcopy and softcopy) of project beneficiaries and other required data; project activity, monitoring, follow-up report, and activity photos.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as and when assigned by the supervisor/concerned authority.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in any discipline from a reputed university with good academic records. Professional courses in relevant subjects will get added advantage.
Experience:
- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Education related programs, especially in Non-Formal Primary Education programs, Skill Development Programs for unemployed youths, and Eye Care for the underserved operation & management will be considered as an added advantage.
- Should have hands-on experience in proposal writing and fundraising.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience of working as Project Manager/ Officer/ Coordinator on managing a team with the particular thematic sector of Education.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/ Adobe Photoshop etc.
- Coordination/ Advocacy/ Networking/ Communication skill
- Project Proposal, Report writing & Documentation skills
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills in English and Bangla
- Monitoring, Evaluation Decision-making & Problem-solving skills

Job Location: Head Office/Project Office, Dhaka (with needed field visit)
Salary & other benefits:
- BDT. 50,000/- to 75,000/- per month.
