The Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS), a national NGO, is looking for a suitable candidate for its partner, the Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation Hospital (SAF Hospital) of Thakurgaon, with the following requirements-
Job Purpose:
To provide medical consultation and treatment for MCH and Gynae-related diseases, assist the consultant(s) for surgery at the OT, and support patient screening in eye camps (as per the requirements of the foundation) at the field level.
Job Location:
Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation (SAF) Hospital, Mujaborni 11 Mail, Thakurgaon, Bangladesh (a partner hospital of the MSS)
- Age: Maximum 45 years (The age may be relaxed for the experienced candidates)
- Education: MBBS with Diploma/FCPS/MS in Gynecology & Obstetrics with a valid updated BMDC registration (Consultants who are currently in service can also apply).
Experiences and Additional Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ proven working experience as a Gynecologist/ Obstetrician/ Consultant in any private/ NGO hospitals or clinics.
- Must have sound knowledge of antenatal, postnatal, and reproductive healthcare management.
- Ability to handle normal deliveries and cesarean sections independently will be an added advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain doctor-patient confidentiality.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and team management capacity
- Empathetic, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient consultations for Gynae, Surgery, Pediatrics, Medicine, and General Health.
- Familiarity with Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Adolescent, Child Health (RMNACH) issues.
- Perform immediate care in case of minor emergencies or urgent medical issues with minor surgical procedures: Stitching, wound dressing, abscess drainage, plaster, and minor OT
- Recognizing situations that require urgent attention and directing patients to the appropriate services.
- Providing preventive care such as vaccinations, screening tests, and advice on healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel to ensure high-quality service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Computer literacy and ability to maintain digital medical records and Telemedicine.
- Willingness to work in a rural hospital setting and serve disadvantaged communities.
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting with extended duty hours in case of emergencies.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team with strong professional ethics.
- Maintain proper patient documentation, records, and follow-up, and participate in case discussion or team meetings when needed.
