Marie Stopes International (MSI)  delivers quality family planning and reproductive health care to millions of the world's poorest and most vulnerable women in 37 countries. Marie Stopes Bangladesh on behalf of Marie Stopes International is looking for “ Regional Program Officer (ASIA)” for it’ Asia region.

Key Role:

The Asia region is a large, diverse and dynamic region facing challenges of sustainability. With decreasing levels of traditional donor funding, there is an urgent need to transition programmes and teams in the towards greater sustainability. Under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, this wide-ranging role will contribute to the region’s implementation of MSI’s new strategy. You will provide critical support to country programmes including support a range of business intelligence activities including performance reporting, benchmarking, dashboard analysis - championing innovative approaches to drive sustainability. You will lead on the tracking and analysis of monthly performance using BI and other programme data to contribute to Month End Review and Quarterly Review processes and be accountable for tracking follow up actions.

Depending on the country portfolio assigned you will also lead on the monitoring of donor project performance including tracking project deliverables and budget. You will work with other LSO teams to ensure these reports are submitted to donors and other stakeholders ahead of deadlines. You will advise country programmes on MSI standards and donor contract compliance

Key experience:

  • Being able to influence without formal authority
  • Excellent oral and communication skills with the ability to convey ideas, information and instructions effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once by focusing on one task by keeping track of others
  • Highly developed excel skills who can gather and structure data effectively

Key skills

  • Tracking performance against business plan and donor projects, and supporting in providing timely support and feedback for any course correction needed
  • Donor reporting: Reviewing and editing donor narrative and financial reports to ensure the outputs are of the highest quality, including logical flow, and thorough analysis of results.
  • Standards and compliance: Advise country programmes on MSI standards and donor contract compliance. Be confident in escalating non-compliance.
  • Experience in preparing annual business plans
