Key Role:

• Lead the delivery of quality assurance systems, policies, procedures and activities across MSB’s obstetric facilities and services fully compliant with MSB and Government of Bangladesh standards and guidelines.
• Responsible for the clinical governance of MSB obstetric facilities, supporting the Director- Operations and Director- Health System Strengthening with appropriate quality assurance, accountabilities and governance tools functioning at all levels of the organisation. 
• Maintains up to date and comprehensive knowledge of GoB and MSB and MSI global standards, protocols, systems and guidelines as they relate to both clinical services and specifically for obstetrics and new-born care.
• Leads on initiatives that impact on quality or effectiveness of health care services provided to clients in obstetric facilities. Implements new protocols are required.
• Establish, implement and regularly monitor systems of internal clinical audit across all obstetric facilities with mechanisms to identify and remedy areas of concern and escalation to the Executive Team as necessary.
• Ensure regular quality supervision and assessments are undertaken and annual plans for clinical operations and projects are established with measurable indicators. Ensures that all audit recommendations are strictly enforced. Monitor the regular use of partograph as required for progression of labour. If necessary, provide adequate on job training to clinic staff.
• Play an active and vocal role in the Medical Advisory Team, bringing relevant agenda items to meetings and always work towards service quality improvements.
• Establish measurable departmental goals and quality control standards in line with MSI and MSB standards and regularly communicate feedback and accomplishments.
• Provide effective leadership, strategic direction and critical problem solving to Obstetric Quality Assurance Managers to ensure the achievement of the operational plans of quality improvement & capacity development program.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience of working at a senior level in any health facilities; Supervision and monitoring of clinical quality of maternity services/Family Planning/Menstrual Regulation; Working in team approach; Good written and verbal communications.
• MBBS with DGO/MCPS. FCPS will be preferable.
• Team player, excellent interpersonal & communication skill, self- organizing capacity. Open to ideas and contributions from others.
