PROGRAM OFFICER, OUTREACH

Marie Stopes Bangladesh (MSB), a social business organization, in an affiliated of MSI Reproductive Choices, UK that works in 37 countries across the globe. MSB has been providing access to high-quality healthcare services at an affordable cost in every single region of Bangladesh, since 1988.

The Program Officer will play a central role in coordinating and implementing the Pilot Initiative on Strengthening Private SA Providers. The role focuses on ensuring smooth execution of project activities, including provider selection, training coordination and monitoring. The Program Officer will liaise closely with Quality Assurance department, GoB Stake holder, and Service Delivery teams, as well as private providers and government counterparts, to ensure effective and compliant implementation of the pilot.

Working Station: MSB-CSO Head office, Dhaka, (with frequent field visits to Sunamganj, Netrokona, Chapai Nawabganj, Bagerhat & Khulna).

Contract Nature: Contractual (12 months, renewable based on project extension)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of all project activities in the five pilot districts.
  • Coordinate the selection process of private providers and facilities based on the standardized readiness checklist.
  • Assist in organizing and logistics for provider training sessions and competency assessments.
  • Maintain records of trained providers, certification status, and competency evaluation results.
  • Collect, compile, and verify data from participating providers and MSB teams.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to assess adherence to quality standards and provide on-site support.
  • Liaise with government field mobilisers, DGFP representatives, and local NGOs to strengthen referral networks.
  • Coordinate with MSB’s Supply Chain and Procurement units to ensure timely supply of commodities (e.g., MVA Kits, Mariprist).
  • Ensure all program activities comply with MSB policies, GoB regulations, and clinical quality standards.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Postgraduation in any disciplined (MPH/MBBS Preferable).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in SRH, MNCH, or health system strengthening projects.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant IT tools.
