MJSKS is a NGO working in Northern part of Bangladesh is looking for a qualified Community Mobilizer for JTI WaSH Project

Job Nature: Full-time

Qualification and other requirements:
Bachelor Degree with 2/3 years of working experiences on WATSAN project. Basic knowledge to work with Union Parisod & Upazila Parisod and their role. Good understanding in Bangla and Basic English Language and mobilization/facilitation capacity.

Job Summary:
The Community Mobilizer is responsible to ensure that program participant groups have the capacity and support needed to ensure continued practice of behaviors that enhance increase services from the local government specifically of Union Parishad in targeted communities. Strong Management Knowledge, Skill & experience on WATSAN. Clear concept on Social accountability tools and PRA tools to implement the program. Candidate has to drive Motor cycle and should have valid driving license

II. Responsibilities and tasks

Responsibilities Tasks
1. To coach a team of all  Stockholder and ensure that they maintain a positive and respectful relationship towards the project activities, the community peoples even among others

Give value to the knowledge and experiences of Stockholder, community peoples on WATSAN issues directly from the community peoples.

Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with the community people, Project activities and senior staff at all times.

Ensure proper facilitation of project activities and field support participation and inputs from the community peoples.

Identify learning opportunities and community peoples to improve the quality of the projects’ extension strategies and its sustainability.

2. Provide staff with support and supervision necessary for successful completion of their tasks

Actively seek to create an open and respectful atmosphere within the union WATSAN Management teams where solidarity and support to other colleagues in their everyday work is the norm.

Ensure that all stockholder understand project goal/objectives, project activities operational strategies and the philosophy of the project

Orient and support the process of selecting project participants by Habitat for Humanity International Bangladesh family  selection criteria.

Prepare monthly activity progress reports, focusing on learning progress of participants, opportunities, challenging activities and strategies applied to resolve encountered problems.

3. Conduct participatory survey and contribute to planning of the project

Conduct PRA with the community people.

Identifying the knowledge and WATSAN Management

Education gap on WATSAN issues.

Prepare WATSAN education session plan

Based the knowledge and practice gap.

Conduct baseline survey and identify the beneficiaries.

4. Program implementation and monitoring

Various types of group Formation.

Conduct regular WATSAN education session with the group.

Organize for from the village based target Group' Regular meeting with `target group.

Facilitate participants' activities in monitoring and analyzing their learning progress and planning new activities.

Organize and mobilize community people in mass awareness program.

Identify constraints related to project implementation and work with the participants to solve these problems.

Training/workshop with community influential persons.

5. Monitor impact of implemented activities and actively seek to disseminate lessons learned to other colleagues at all project levels

Ensure that collecting and recording required data for monitoring purposes as per the project needs, using the prescribed formats and guidelines

Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of all monitoring and field reporting activities

Review and analyze records/data and sample survey monitoring data submitting data to the upazila office

Prepare and submit articles to the project newsletter and encourage community peoples

6. Strengthen networking all stockholder

Establish good relationships with UP, NGOs and other service providers active in the area

Organize meetings, training, workshops and visits of NGOs and line organization officials to project areas as required.

Conduct cross visits to other communities and organizations within the union on a regular basis and stay up to date with changes in services they offer that are relevant to our project beneficiaries

Maintain effective liaison with local elite, target Group ' and UP.

7. Provide logistical support and administration for  Project Team in accordance with MJSKS’s policy and procedures

Plan annual and seasonal field training material needs

Ensure that materials and equipment needed for project implementation are procured and available on time

Maintain project files, documents and inventory of field materials

Assist in the preparation of the Project budget

8. Fulfill project Specific reporting Requirements

Prepare and complete field schedules

Provide necessary written quantitative and qualitative data/information including field observations to Project Coordinator for preparing monitoring and other reports.

Salary Range:  18,000/- to 20,000/- with others benefits
