Job Summary: 

The District Coordinator (DC) is primarily responsible for overall project management functions and will be accountable for achieving the project outputs and overall objective within the proposed time frame. The District will directly supervise the Case Manager to guide the Case Worker and Midwife to implement the CERF Project ensuring quality, integration of purposes and sustainability. The DC will coach and guide his/her team and will ensure an open learning environment within the team. The DC will be responsible for administration, planning, monitoring and evaluation of project components and making recommendations for improvements of project activities. The DC will be responsible for ensuring networking and linkages with relevant private and public sector actors. She will also be responsible to collaborate with the concerned CARE team members.

District Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist Case Managers and Midwives for preparing their plan and deliberation of their duties and responsibilities
  2. Guide the team organizing the planned interventions effectively and identifying the flood affected and vulnerable women and girls in the communities
  3. Identify women and girls that need dignity kits
  4. Orientation to the project team on project interventions and modality of implementation
  5. Attend the planning meetings/workshops organized by INGO/donor and ensure implementation accordingly
  6. To understand the planned budget for smooth implementation of the planned interventions
  7. Assist and guide Project Staff to understand the planned budget and to be strict to internal control and donor compliances
  8. Follow up so that financial reports are prepared timely and submitted accordingly, assist and monitor the project procurements and process documentation done
  9. Coordinate with project participants, community and local elite, local leaders, local govt. representatives and  stakeholders  associated directly/indirectly into the project activities,
  10. Will be responsible for coordination with INGO/donor agency for smooth implementation of the project activities in line with project plan and budget.
  11. Coordinate with communities for establishing Women Friendly Spaces (WFS) and managing the cases through designated staff
  12. Interaction with stakeholders for their capacity building, monitoring the VAW cases, support them for linkage building with the duty bearers such as Women and Children Affairs, legal aid committees, law enforcing agencies, health service providers and with others,
  13. Monitoring of activities for GBV, SRHR, PSS services for the victims coming to the WFS
  14. Will be responsible for emergency response activities for the vulnerable women and girls in the target communities
  15. Ensure preparing all required reports (Monthly/quarterly/Annual) and submitted to Lead Agency/donor and to relevant stakeholders.
  16. Will be responsible for preparing project data base.

District Coordinator Requirements and Qualification

  1. Master’s degree in social science, anthropology, law, gender studies, MDS will get preference.
  2. At least 5 years of working experiences in managerial positions and in management of emergency response, GBV issues, SRHR, gender development, women rights and empowerment, community legal services project interventions.
  3. Sound management knowledge and skill on program planning, implementation, budgeting and monitoring & evaluation.
  4. Having good skill in speaking and report writing in English. Computer skill on MS Office applications and internet using.
  5. Experience on network/ linkage/collaboration with GO/NGO stakeholders.
  6. Willing to drive Motorcycle and should have valid driving license.
  7. To work in a team and able to work under pressure and gender sensitive.

Reportable to: Project Director

Salary: 65,000/-
