Job Title: Project Officer- Training and Youth Mobilization (01)

Job Purpose

The Project Officer- Training and Youth Mobilization will coordinate and support the execution of the project’s training plan and design the training content according to the training needs assessment. The purpose is to build the capacity of the RWVL project's partner organizations. The entire capacity development process is designed to empower women, girls, gender-diverse groups, and youth through gender equality and empowerment.

Job Summary

Project Officer- Training and Youth Mobilization (entry-level position) of MJF requires several tasks of the RWVL Bangladesh project. Significant duties are: i) assessing training needs across various partner organizations. ii) designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs; iii) facilitating workshops, seminars, and sessions for women, girls, and gender diverse groups to foster an interactive environment that encourages learning and growth; iv) coordinating and scheduling internal and external training; v) inviting and engaging the participants of Women’s Rights Organizations for several trainings; vi) evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through assessments; vii) preparing training reports and maintaining adequate records; viii) Organizing dialogues, workshops, training sessions, and mass awareness events at the national level with youth groups; organizing issue-based protests and movement events; organizing annual youth leadership Camp to foster a social leadership process

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in any discipline of Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, International Relations, Human Resource and Organizational Development.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in training and capacity building programs, focusing on women's rights and gender equality in any Civil Society Organization.
  • Understanding and applying feminist principles, approaches, and strategies in capacity development initiatives that highlight gender inequality and examine the social, political, and cultural factors adversely affecting women's lives and experiences, contributing to the pursuit of social justice and equality.
  • Proven experience working in a partnership approach with WROs and Community-led Organizations.

Essential Skills and Capabilities

  • Ability to facilitate training sessions independently, engaging participants and encouraging interaction.
  • Proficiency in designing training programs and materials that are relevant, practical, and culturally appropriate for the target audience.
  • Capability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and analyze feedback to inform continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to adjust training methods and materials based on participants' learning styles and needs.
  • Understanding and respect for the cultural backgrounds of participants, especially regarding gender and social issues.
  • Professional skills to manage multiple training programs and deadlines efficiently, ensuring the timely delivery of training sessions.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for online training, as well as proficiency in presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • A proactive attitude toward professional development and staying updated on best practices in training and capacity building.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.

Working Conditions

The position is based in Dhaka, but frequent field travel is required to the working areas, with at least 40% of the time spent traveling outside Dhaka to remote locations in Bangladesh.

Remuneration: The total monthly gross salary will be Tk 75,561 (Grade-5, Step-1) plus all other admissible benefit (PF, Bonus, Gratuity) as per organizational policy. The salary is negotiable for a suitable candidate.
