Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), a Non-governmental Organization working for Human Rights and Good Governance, invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of:
- Project Officer (Campaign & Communication)
for the "Community-based Resilience, Women's Empowerment and Action - CREA" Project, funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Bangladesh.
Working Conditions: The position is based in Dhaka, but travel is mandatory to the working areas outside Dhaka. This is a fixed-term contractual position for the project period.
Position: Project Officer (Campaign and Communication), Post: 1
Purpose: As part of the project team, this position will provide technical support to project-related communications and branding through content development, virtual communication, campaign, material development & dissemination, media, and community involvement in the context of women’s voice for building their capacity, leadership and empowering them to take collective action to tackle climate change impacts, stop child marriage and domestic violence. This is a Dhaka-based position.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the program team to develop concept notes on the campaign and organize those activities.
- Quality media content development (narratives, photos, videos, graphics designs, stories etc.)
- Support programs with writing and editing documents
- Maintain a database of media organizations and communicate with them
- Work with media to maximize exposure in external media, including print, electronic and social media, as per defined targets
- Write creative pieces/ blogs/ articles on women’s rights, Climate change, child marriage etc.
- Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners related to media and communication.
- Write and distribute print and electronic media press releases, including social and digital platforms.
- Plan and execute online campaign in social media as per project target and requirement.
- Support the branding, campaign and communications initiatives of MJF as required.
- Organizing media and campaigns on climate change, women’s engagement in climate-resilient agriculture, plastic pollution, etc.
- Arranging boot camps for youth
- Organizing workshops and fairs to promote gender-responsive adaptation
- Lead in developing documentary river and plastic pollution
- Lead social media campaign on social norms, menstrual hygiene
- Any other responsibilities assigned by MJF;
Skill:
- Expertise in communication, social media management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram), Experience with online acquisition and reporting tools (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics), digital design and development, create/develop video bytes, website updates, internal communication, and proficiency in English.
Competencies:
- Close relationship with media stakeholders, in-depth understanding of media communication plan development, confident and self-motivated.
Educational Requirement:
- Master's degree in any discipline, preferably in Media and Communication, Journalism or Social Science
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in development communication is required.
- Working experience with national or international NGOs or media houses will be preferred.
- Age preference will be 25-35 years.

He/she will collaborate closely with the program team (CREA Project) and all grantees.
Director Rights & Governance, Director Finance & Administration and other relevant department
Remuneration- The total monthly salary will be Tk 48,590, plus bonus and increment as per organizational policy.
